The Return

If the world could sing it would be the melody of your love
Dancing thru life to the beat of your beauty
Paralyzed at the breathe of your anger
Just to experience you tomorrow as a stranger

If the world could sing it would be the melody of your love
Born in darkness, eternal in light
What confusion has made darkness so bright
Paradigms shifted in exchange for infinite sight

If the world could sing it would be the melody of your love dancing thru life
Just to meet death eye to eye
A familiar foe once forgotten used to be a friend I know

If the world could sing it would be the melody of your love promised to me forever even in my absence, illusion created separation searching for happy ever after.

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
