Saying Goodbye To An Ex
I wish I could show you how I feel in my heart
And how much inside this tears me apart
I wish that I could make my heart unbreak
And wish you loved me and all this a mistake
I can’t make you feel something you don’t feel
And it brings the question was anything real
So you feel nothing and say that you tried?
Smiles only visible with no feeling inside?
Nothing felt when your tears have been cried?
Or is it pain that you feel for me
Tears shed for mere sympathy
Don’t cry for me cause I will be fine
All I ever wanted was your heart to be mine
For some reason that doesn’t seem it can be
I can’t believe that it has to do with me
I tortured myself wondering what I did wrong
And I realized it was nothing you just want to be gone
Maybe its that you’re not ready for something like this
And the only thing I’m left with is you to miss
Dying to hold you or get one last kiss
Destroyed that things have played out like this
I don’t think I won’t be missed
And at another point in your life you might be pissed
That you let go of something so true
And someone that completely loved you
Gave you everything they were and aspired to be
And you let it go for uncertainty
But you’re unhappy and not in love which I understand
And I know this is something that you didn’t have planned
I wish I could change that somehow and fix my flipped lid
And think one day you’ll realize you loved me more than you did
Maybe that something that started one day out of thin space
Was meant for a different time and place
I’m sorry the most that I have to see you go
I will always love you more than you know
