Clouds

Life is supposed to be what we want it to be
But life is never beautiful as many want to see
Dark clouds hanging over my head it constantly rains
The smell of wet soil does bring me great delight
But after the rain is gone, I'm still stuck with these dark clouds.

I tried to get the sun to come out to shine
but as always, she refuses time after time
Stuck with this gloom I try to move on
Oh, will it rain again? Will I smell the scent of wet soil again?
How happy I will be if it rains

I wonder if the sun will come out and show her beauty
Drying up the rain and bringing in warmth
I shouldn't get my hope up as she doesn't always stay.

I shouldn't ponder on these things
But I can't help but think about the day these clouds are gone
I probably should have faith and give her some time
But faith is hard to keep strong and when lost is hard to find again.
Sadness talks loudly and never stop. She comes in like a strong wave
Unlike the others she doesn't leave but she stays
Until you've made your choice

A choice, what could that be?
You wouldn't know unless you were that fly on my window the sill
That fly that always comes and goes as she please.

There is no rainbow behind this cloud nor a treasure to be found
There is no sun hidden behind, nor any rain that's left
Just a dark cloud moving in time.
