My Dad

It's a waste of your time asking if I'm okay.
I don't want to hear that he went to a better place that day.
I will never stop wondering "why?"
I will never forgive myself for not saying good-bye.
You could tell me that you understand this kind of sorrow.
But, don't try to tell me there will be an easier tomorrow.
I know he was prepared to see the light.
But, I wish it didn't have to happen on that night.
My dad is gone and I will never understand.
He was taken too early to that special land.

"Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to PS. May I welcome you likewise with the love of the Lord WHO can give you comfort always. According to the Bible's John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you."

So sorry for your loss Jennifer, although people mean well, you'd rather they said nothing. Coping with grief is painful. Welcome to poetry soup. Tom
