Frogge

A rose once grew where none could see, Shielded inside my old Oak tree. As the days passed swiftly by, it grew and grew so big and tall.

As autumn’s colors came calling home, the wind blew by my grassy bleak, while I was playing hide and seek, a beam of light shone through a crack and oh to my surprise I see, something strange staring back at me.

We found the warmth of a thousand roses with something curious as one could be, I reached my hand out blissfully oblivious to what I will see, A little baby toad as happy as could be.

I kept the toad so long, so good, I miss him very much. He lived to the ripe old age of 12! He jumped and screamed and rolled around while I scratched his tummy. I fed him worms and gave him water, so he could sleep peacefully.

I awoke one morning to not happy croaks. The atmosphere was very gloomy, I heard no screams nor movement. Then I became oh so very blue.

I buried him right where I found him, in my old Oak tree. I tear up by just writing this, while he passed peacefully.

I awoke one day to see his grave but to my surprise I saw! More baby toads so many, so much! On his grave I shed a tear for a rose was growing on his grave.
