Pain Free

It is me vs me who I aspire to be
One day at a time and I shall be set free
Locked alone in a place where they call the shadow of death
I’m left to fight my demons, will it be me that prevails?

All around me I’m surrounded by my demonic thoughts
Anger and fire cannot be mixed or they’ll cause a nuclear to blow
Depressive thoughts cloud my judgements and I’m left too clouded
The rain stops but the fog and the clouds remain, my thoughts are hounded

Deep inside I bleed and I cannot stop that
Heart that bleeds and thoughts that are repetitive of my feels
I look around to see what life really means
To be alive, is to feel horrendous pain that never leaves

I see a gun on the counter and wonder what life would be like at the end of that trigger
Meaningful, resting, pain free and no heart aches
I close my eyes as if to feel the feeling of a trigger against my head
My hand is shaking and I can hear the demons shouting pull it and it’ll set you free, reset
The angels on the other hand talking me out of it telling me that I will move on and find peace one day at a time
But for me everyday is worse than the day before so pulling this trigger will stop the time
I slowly come to realisation that life is filled with pain so the second we are taken away we are at rest, and no more pain
I pull that trigger and say goodbye, I’ll see you on the other side, pain free my friend

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
