Who

Why are you so loud and proud?
Why must you announce your intent
Using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tik Tok to vent

It is I who wish to say
I simply don’t care
Don’t care for this or that
Don’t care for your tit for tat
Don’t care where your mind is at
If your skinny or fat
If your honest or a rat

I simply don’t have any time for that
And even if I did
I wouldn’t lift the lid
On your boring bid
To be unique
An exclusive freak
A flavor of the weak
A digital clan of the meek

It doesn’t matter what you put in your holes
Or how you vote at the polls
It’s all the same
Of the powerfully lame
Who luv to watch you play the game
Of look at me and remember my name

Truth is
I care not
For your thought
I only care that your quiet
In your trust
That the masses
Have you in their lust
Because for me
Your one big bust

Not worth my click or swipe
Not my like or subscribe
Not worth my time
To be in your digital tribe

Your simply weak and loud
Of nothing to be proud
Just part of a lost crowd
That took a knee and bowed
To the lowest in vanity
Who trades their sanity

For a vacant hollow
Of a follow
A thumbs up
A pretty star
A worthless emoji
A meaningless heart

All designed
To keep us apart
A separation
Of humanity
lost from the start

A comedic tragedy
Of 15 mins of fame
Empty and lame
It’s not you I blame
Just your addiction
To the game
Of trying to be less of the same

Sorry
But I won’t remember your name

Eric (and sometimes not)
