Strangers

Happy people go on a walk
But he listens to loud music
Each beat travels around the block
While she’s in a band and plays acoustic

What does it mean to have confidence?
To the person I see in the mirror
When did you lose your innocence?
Tell her I’m sorry, but I forgive her

There comes a time for the pain
A quality that serves as a nasty campaign
Only to make food of your own veins
Behold, welcome to land of the insane

Are we there yet?
You arrived an hour ago
We just met
