Forgive Me

Forgive me
Of my constant stare,
My pain, for years, beyond repair.
I often say,
"Dead minds can't think",
Then I remember,
Death is a thief.
Forgive me
If I bleed too much
I often say,
"It barely touched."
Then I remember,
It was a swift blade of a demon.
Forgive me
For never being like them:
A child who sits in silence,
Never casting a foul tongue.
I often say,
"It's the thorns
That grasps attention,
Not the the rose.
Then I remember,
Thorns are forbidden
And roses are given homes.

I had to think about words for this and that is a first for me. So very deep.Writing is so releasing so keep letting it flow.
