Former Me

It’s the end of the day,
Return to sin,
Forget about the world again.

The pills digest,
And euphoria drowns,
The chronic sounds,
The masters fake,

To simulate His divine chair,
The thought that He was never there.

No cross to bare,
No pain to spare,
Just look around,
He’s everywhere.

Sinners sin, pheners phene,
Street walker just trying to stay clean,
It’s a sinner’s world, It’s a dirty world,
It’s the post-requisite of a perfect world.

She holds my hand,
So I can see she’s there
But the demons stare,
And the darkness cares.

An immortal snare
Quit you don’t dare
A surrender to truth
Too much to bare.

The love of the Father,
Redeems the heart,
A new creation,
A brand new start.
