Here I Go

I think I know myself
At least that's what I used to think,
Till you came and I was overwhelmed
By the things we did together,
I started finding a different me
That I never knew existed
Before it was you and me

I loved the way it was all so normal
Yet so abnormal,
In every possible way,

You made me question myself,
wanting me to define myself?
So here I go
I m special
So wonderful
Pretentiously beautiful
I can be colorful
Sometimes even powerful
But can't seem to gather how I was also
Such a fool.

I used to agree too much
Pretending I don't care as such
Hurting myself by the slightest touch,
Keeping my emotions tied up in a bunch.
But now I know the truth
That there is nothing wrong with me
It was always how it was meant to be

I loved the way people looked at us and chortle,
Like we were some clowns,
Making everything normal,
Yet abnormal,
In every possible way,

You made me question myself,
wanting me to define myself?
So here I go
I m special
So wonderful
pretentiously beautiful
 I can be colorful
Sometimes even powerful
But can't seem to gather how I was also a fool.

I love everything
Way too easily
Until it all started to click
That we weren't what I thought we were
I just saw it quite dreamily

Now I know it wasn't my imagination
Just as I repeated our every conversation
In my mind was all a fairytale fiction
And I realized it as just a contradiction.
How I wish I'd have seen it sooner?
When all you did was
Enumerate throughout my imagination

You made me question myself,
wanting me to define myself?
So here I go
I m special
So wonderful
pretentiously beautiful
 I can be colorful
Sometimes even powerful
But can't seem to gather how I was also a fool.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
