Nothing

There’s nothing like doing nothing with you
Reading books and singing songs, forever it’ll last
You make my heart smile, my life’s no longer blue

We lose track of time, dumb conversations a few
Nonsense and jokes cracked, they make my smile vast
There’s nothing like doing nothing with you

Sunrise and sunsets, they give me hope like you do
I’ll watch them forever, with you it’s a blast
You make my heart smile, my life’s no longer blue

We walk on the streets where to the end there is no clue
You’re holding my hand, it’s magic spell that you cast
There’s nothing like doing nothing with you

Every color, every hue, is represented by me and you
In my future, present, and past
You make my heart smile, my day’s no longer blue

There’s none to say and none to do
Every second spent with you, forever will last
There’s nothing like doing nothing with you
You make my heart smile, my day’s no longer blue

Welcome to Poetry Soup! I hope you decide to stay here for a long time. I wrote down the type "villanelle". I am not sure if I have ever written one, but I think you did a TERRIFIC job with this one!
