Time

TIME

We depend on it
Wait on it
Even let it slip
You remind us to get a grip
To appreciate time
At times puts us in strife
Like a prisoner paying for a crime
To have a sentence; time is for life
It heals
Band-Aids our hearts
Time reveals
Truths hidden in the dark
I met you
At the wrong time
Same direction, wrong track
Engraved in my mind
But I can't get you back
You keep flying
While I keep trying to hold you
I keep trying
Realizing only God controls you.

This poem made me smile. When a close friend had a tender break up because the man she loved was entrapped by a person who said she would hurt or possibly kill herself if he left her, my close friend said "I love you, and if this does not work out, remember, we will always be friends, and maybe another time is our time." My close friend and this man have been married for 16 years and have 6 fabulous children. You really do have to release yourself. It is all His timing, not ours, Stephanie.
