I Didn'T Say I Love You Nearly Enough

My memories of you are held deep in my heart
I take them out often and remember every part
I can see your face and hear your voice too
You are always with me, no matter what I do
I lay in bed at night and wonder in despair
Why I think of you more now than when you were here
I should have told you then how I love you so
But time always seemed plenty and I thought you must know
I took life for granted as many of us have done
Too busy to say I love you, our days spent on the run
So I share this with you now, please learn from my mistake
Hold your loved one close and time for them please make
For too often days go by quickly as do months and years
The chance to say I love you just simply disappears
Make sure when you close your eyes you will see a smile or two
And dream of those gone now, knowing that they knew.
