A Mom's Love

A Mom’s Love
Each birth brought the sound
Of a life I loved measurelessly.
Every moment, every second now focused
On adoring you endlessly.
When I held you I knew I was blessed like no other,
I hope I’ve done right by you
My Sons and my Daughter.

Everyday I saw you filled my heart with a joy
which, in words, could never be described,
You were the greatest gifts given to me in my life,
My completeness was realized.
When I held you I knew I was blessed like no other,
I hope I’ve done right by you
My Sons and my Daughter.

In the role of being a mother I have certainly come to learn
The ups and downs that are experienced at every single turn.
It is that my heart hurts so badly
If any one of you are sad.
Yet, when you are happy I feel all is right with the world and nothing,
…nothing at all is bad.
When I held you I knew I was blessed like no other,
I hope I’ve done right by you
My Sons and my Daughter.

My job was, and will always be
To protect you, teach you, and support you along the journey
Of who you are going to be.
I apologize if I was overbearing, at times, but I hope you understand
It was how I felt, as a mother, I should be.
When I held you I knew I was blessed like no other,
I hope I’ve done right by you
My Sons and my Daughter.

Take all that I did right and carry it on to when you are parents later,
Improve upon mistakes I made and be a parent who is better.
Even now, after all these years, I’m still learning and growing,
Striving to be the best mom you could have
As the stages of your lives continue evolving.
When I held you I knew I was blessed like no other,
I hope I’ve done right by you
My Sons and my Daughter.

Each one of you is different,
Being your own unique self.
But certain qualities run through each of you
Which signify your moral wealth.
You are kind, compassionate, and will always choose to do the right thing.
A mother could ask no more of her children,
And the pride I feel is unwavering.
When I held you I knew I was blessed like no other,
I hope I’ve done right by you
My Sons and my Daughter.

I Love You Always…….Mom

every second now focused On adoring you endlessly. This line sums up the poem you have written, and it sounds like it was done effortlessly. I like the refrain "My sons and my daughter" a lot, it makes me believe you have three children. Love this poem! Perfect for Mothers Day.
