Choose Happy

Quite a lot we ask of our selves
as we try to up hold these principles
but this is what it_ life has come to for us
we delay so many things
and hold off twice as much
But this life this life
is a short timeline.
I say live now
don't regret it later
wishing you had done this
wishing you had done that
wishing you had lived
wishing you had time
More time to do all those things you loved
but never did
Willing to will but willing not.

We are considered adults at 18
yet we don't get our lives until 25
Many a time we date till 30
But more often than most
still end up single or unmarried and worried.

Life is a choice
let us choose each day
to be happy
to love
to cherish that which we have
before we hunger for that which we don't yet have.
let us choose not to be perfect
for that's who we are are (perfectly imperfect).
Let us choose not to worry much
let us have our lunch and brunch
Let us choose to seat back and slouch
the moon and sun to watch
and to the humming birds to listen
Let us choose to have fun
let us like wind choose to run
let us choose to fall
to fall in love with ourselves
unemployed and unmarried
educated or uneducated
rich or poor
the thing is for sure
We all deserve a happiness that's pure.

Choose to be happy
choose happy.

Ode To Olivie

Olivie Is a friend like no other.
Olivie cares like a mother.
Olivie is a rare fruit,
Olivie comes raw yet sweet.
Olivie may change shades, from green to red and yet
Remain meekly sweet.

Olivie Olivie
How I wish many were like you.
Olivie how I wish many knew you,
And saw you
For who you are,Olivie.

Olivie you are strong like a tree
Yet meek like a gentle wind.
Olivie you are stout
Yet beautiful.
Olivie your branches are small
Yet you are a giver.
Olivie your leaves are small
Yet you make shade,
Many to accommodate.
Olivie you play,timid,
Yet you are tolerant.
Olivie you are SPECIAL
And the world should know.

Running Dry

I’m running dry
I have used up my hope.
Something blocks my flow
As another hinders my glow.
Weary of heart and drenched of soul,
Sorrow knows my name.
I am losing at this game.
In my chest is a void,
Tore something through.
Disgraced,I am come falling through.
My blood is freezing cold
Cracked is my skin.
A blurry sight and tired legs
Cracked lips and blistered feet.

I’m running dry.

Consumed

Quietly I sat and gazed
As the hissing winds mocked about.
The leaves silently whispered and swayed,
And together swayed with them the trees.
The birds about, flew, sang and perched.
The meadow was beautiful and green,
Painted in all flowers bright: lilies, roses, violets and lavender.

Quietly I sat
Lost to nought but lovely sounds
Of joyous birds and hissing winds.
A soul lost in pleasantries
Of a sight all beautiful and all fair.

For a moment I swang my head,
And closed my eyes.
The birds when silent,
There singing was no more.
The winds now hissed with a cold.
The thin long trees stood without leaves.
The meadow was burnt to ashes.
All that was green, was now black and grey.
Whence came a fire so raged,
In a moment sheer to consume
All that was beautiful.

Life is a beautiful fabric,
Fair but sheer.

You Are All the Stars

You are all the stars
In my sky
By night my moon
By day my sun.
You have won me,
Over
Draw me,
But closer.
Kiss me,
Over and over
And again.

You are all the stars
In my sky
By night my moon
By day my sun.
You have won me,
Over.
Draw me,
But closer.
Kiss me,
Over and over
And again.

When

When you talk
To be thy words, music to my ears.
When you laugh
Your laughter is music to which, dances my heart.
If it please me so
Will you sing me your song?
For when you sing, the words linger much longer.
If it please me so
Will you send me your smile?
For when you smile,I but come to life.
When you lie besides me
My world is at peace,my worry is at cease.
And am all at ease.

When when
When you talk
To be thy words, music to my ears.
When you laugh
Your laughter is music to which, dances my heart.
If it please me so
Will you sing me your song?
For when you sing, the words linger much longer.
If it please me so
Will you send me your smile?
For when you smile,I but come to life.
When you lie besides me
My world is at peace,my worry is at cease.
And Am all at ease.

To Ye Bards of Past

Thanks bards fallen
For the inspiration given
For the eyes are now opened
For in lines on paper inked,
Lessons were learned,insight was earned.

Thanks bards fallen
For in lines down written
Truth was spoken
Dreams were born.

Thanks bards fallen
For the many hearts mused.
In your lines and rhymes,
Emotions and feelings lucidly expressed,
Vividly felt.

Many a bard
Fly sky high
For because you flew.
And gates to a world new,
You opened.

My World Is a Place

my world is a place
where you can lay you down to rest
with your head on my chest
I will soothe away the pain.
I will be by your side
and hold you through the night.
should you ever need light
 Iwill be the sun
 Iwill be the moon
o I will be the stars.
should you ever be afraid,
run into me,
 I will defend.
should you ever need to be loved
I will take you to the deep end
give that love with no end.

Goodbye

This I write in a sombre mood
When it hurts like a fresh wound
Where at
Did God put the mold,
Out of which you where curved.
So that with Him I plead,
For me,another like you to mold.

It hurts
Yet to concede I must
To only hope and trust
That time shall settle the mist.
And only then, shall I clearly see
What I didn't chance to (see)
In the fog of youth.

You my muse,are gone
I am sad
For it hurts straight to the bone,
That forever,
You are gone.
Yet together,
Long we have been.
Was it selfish,was it sin
Not to say,
What in my heart has long been.

It is but so wasteful a deed
 my heart
To now bleed.
Yet for so long
Its true feelings from you I hid.
However much I brood
This is goodbye.
(A sad sad goodbye
In the words of a sad poem.)

Sweet Rose

Sweet rose
To thy sweet scent
I am tense.
Of thy sweet red
I am heavily fond.
Thine petals vehemently designed
You but glisten with so red a shine
O my,you are fine
A flower heavenly divine.
