Jesus Is My Teacher

JESUS IS MY TEACHER

Jesus is so good to me.
Jesus is like a brother.
Jesus is in everything I see.
There is no other.

When I travel far,
Jesus travels further.
Jesus is my guiding star.
I need Him forever.

I love Jesus more each day.
Jesus is my preacher.
Jesus hears me when I pray.
Jesus is my teacher.

The Mighty Horse

God has not forgotten you, Mighty Horse.
At one time you ran through canyons,
and green meadows
never before seen by men.
You were as free as the icy waters
which come from snow-capped mountains.
Free to go anywhere you wanted.
You tossed your head in defiance.
Your mane shimmered with magnificence.
Like a king, you stood,
hidden away in a dream-like world
of sweet, fragrant grasses.
God allowed men to rule over you.
But He never allowed men
to tame your spirit.
It remains proud and free.
Even though you are a servant
to men now, you show great strength.
You have retained the noble spirit-soul
of a Warrior King.

Love Is Like An Untouched Garden

THE UNTOUCHED GARDEN

Love is like an untouched garden.
It doesn't seem to have much value
when at first you get it,
           but its value increases
           the longer you keep it.
               If you are willing to
                       tend it,
                      water it,
                     fertilize it,
                     work with it,
                     suffer with it,
                     plow its field,
                    plant the seed,
                         believe,
        one day, from your persistence,
             tiny flowers will bloom.
With hard work, you can accomplish
                     anything.
However, if you want to keep love,
or a garden, in the same worthwhile state
                  you first intended,
you must be willing to care for it
            with the same loving hands
                   that first created it,
or it will wither and die
and so will a part of you.

Dear Little Web-Building Spider

DEAR LITTLE WEB-BUILDING SPIDER

God made you a great weaver.
You listen to God. You are aware of His presence.
Even though you cannot see well, you build your
home with many fine threads. You are creative.
You travel with God up canyons, through the meadow
grasses, up tree limbs, along the sides of huge rocks
and boulders. God created you, Little Spider, to
weave your web for His glory. You live alone, but
you are never lonely. You know God is always with
you. With a gentle whisper, He blows your web
around. You smile at God. You realize God loves you.
Are you not one of His meek-ones?
And didn't Jesus say the meek-ones will inherit the
                            EARTH

                           FOREVER?

God Will Win

GOD WILL WIN

Satan's been in Greece and Rome.
He's walked where Royalty often roamed.
He's traveled to England.
He's dined in France.
He's slept in Nazi concentration camps.
Now America's in Satan's pot.
He's making more stew
out of what He's got.
Our citizens won't admit nor see
America sprawling on her knee
while greedy politicians squeeze
and do whatever else they please.
We've caused America to lose her grip.
The entire world's beginning to slip
to 1929 again.
The Devil will laugh,
but God will win.

Watching Clouds

I watch the clouds as they pass by.
They spread a mist across the sky;
and sometimes for an hour or two
they float within a sea of blue
like castles shaped a way up high,
their forms dissolve and seem to die.
Upon my back for an hour or two
I watch them grow to something new.
Veiled in lace they stretch their hands
and seem to wed in other lands.
They look down from eternity
on all that we may hope to be.
Clouds have a strange world in the sky
that outlasts even you and I.
The restless world that they embrace
moves on like us in constant pace.
They toss and turn within a storm.
Each day we live they are reborn.

Walking With Jesus

WALKING WITH JESUS

You kiss the sky with blue
and beard it with
Your soft white clouds,
breaking off in different directions
that come and go like dreams.
Your eyes see everywhere;
they light the throne room
to Your universe.
They are a dazzling reminder
of where Heaven is.
Let me walk with You
beyond Your mountaintops.
There is no one like You.
You are the King, the promise
to a better life.

Our Lord Is Coming Back

OUR LORD IS COMING BACK

You search to find new meaning
to who and what you are.
You travel to gain knowledge
from a distant star.
You go to the moon
looking for a friend,
but the truth is only found within,
within,
the truth is only found within.

There's a new moon arising,
smell the flowers you ignore,
hear the thunder in the mountains give a roar.
You're afraid that God won't love you
as He did in times before,
but He wants you to open up His door,
His door,
He wants you to open up His door.

Did the flowers smile from Heaven
when this whole world first began?
Will the bees still make wild honey 'til the end?
Will the soft earth cover over,
make a garden again,
or will we break like glass in the end,
in the end,
or will we break like glass in the end?

The past still holds the future
within God's Holy Hand.
He doesn't forget Promises
like men and women can.
Though our days become like coal dust,
there is laughter on the way.
He will make our faces shine like the day.
Yes, He will.
He will make our faces shine like the day.

As we climb into our future,
with no fear to hold us back,
we will live in constant beauty
which the world now seems to lack.
There's a hope for tomorrow,
for our Lord's coming back.
Good news! Our Lord is coming back.

Daughter's Wedding Advice

DAUGHTER'S WEDDING ADVICE

An old woman once spoke to her young daughter
who was soon to be a bride.
The icing is not the body, but the spirit.
The body is the cake that the spirit covers.
This combination cannot be given away without meaning,
not even if the intent is honorable,
nor should it be eaten before it is time.
The cake is considered of more importance than the icing,
but the icing contains its flavor and richness,
increasing the value of the cake a hundredfold,
thereby determining its worth.
A poor icing not only ruins the beauty of a cake;
it robs it of its sweetness of spirit.
Remember, my child, the lasting ingredient
that permeates the whole body is the soul.
With that last word, the old woman left her daughter
to be alone with her thoughts.

Is It Easy To Trust

IS IT EASY TO TRUST

It's easy to trust
when there's nothing to lose.
Then you step out
in time without fear.
But when it's your life
that you've placed in the game
how much do you trust then, my dear?
It's easy to be brave
when there is no demand
on what will happen to you.
When you take from God only ice cream
you beam,
but Death becomes part of that too.
You want to be in a world far beyond
better than this one does seem.
It's easy to breathe in His Air.
But when do you breathe in His Dream?
