Brenden Pruchniewicz Poem
A frail crust like mind will forever be devastated by earthquakes of emotion
These relief efforts can only come from the core of an individuals own earth
An eternal solo effort, that cycles on for eternity
We are all captains on our own ship of one,
With all intentions of sailing beneath the summer sun
But when fun in the sun stops, storms of darkness fall upon you
Built up stress causes hurricanes and anger beats on you as a tsunami would the
shore
The eye of the storm brings temporary relief of the elements
The only constant battle is from sadness
Because sadness is the anchor of souls.

Brenden Pruchniewicz Poem
They say a phoenix shall always rise
burst through the ashes with new life
what were to happen when the flame dulls
when the fire beneath its wings burns no more?
the frozen phoenix with mind in tact,
utterly immobilized and cold to the core
no one can hear its cries
on the brink of pure insanity
where or when shall light break through these frozen walls around it?
I am the phoenix, I am cold
I can see only darkness
The only sounds that fill its ears,
Echoes of past cries
Eternal bruises from internal battles.
But wait, there is something coming,
A revelation, an epiphany
Or simply change in perspective maybe?
A glitter of sunshine, a memory of positive and warm proportions
Suddenly there are sounds of cracks
Splinters in the ever surrounding ice barriers in which i, we have been trapped.
The phoenix inside me yearns for flight,
Desperate to feel wind beneath our wings.
The feelings of warmth are overwhelming.
Temperatures escalate, consciousness consumes the sadness that has trapped it
Suddenly the ice breaks
The phoenix spreads its wings
And in grand fashion it screams to the heavens for it is free.
The episode is over, the Phoenix lights the sky from shore to shore.
I am the Phoenix,
I am frozen no more.
