On That Day

Poem about grief-initially about losing my cats. But feel that this is about grief in situations and seeing people in heaven someday.

ON THAT DAY

We'll run to each other on that day,
I'll see such happiness it'll blind me in a way,
Remember all the times we ran to each other
in the field, those were the happiest of my life.

And we'll replay the whole scene over and over,
like the day we first met. You all made me the
happiest person and I'm forever grateful for
every little and every big smile you gave me.

I'll be waiting and that smile will never end. It
will replay and replay and it won't bother me in
any way.

I miss you all and know you're all doing great.
So remember the good memories, for we'll get a glorious
chance to hold hands and play that award winning replay
of it and never say goodbye again -

ON THAT DAY!

Goldmine

GOLDMINE

I'm sitting on a goldmine
This life story of mine.
They wanted to get the best of me those people
But I'm doing just fine
A friend said you should write a story about that,
it could only happen to you,
Well I never really thought of that maybe that would do.
After all, who could have gone through all of that
And became even a better person it sometimes makes me grin,
To have recovered like that over and over again,

Sometimes you think it's all over, yet you never realize
what's right in front of you,
That's what life is like at times, so what do you do?

I used to be in agony of extremes, thinking it will never change.
But then again, sometimes life is real strange,

Seems all this time I thought I was so isolated and that
it can only happen to me,

But maybe this story could be my destiny.

At least to think that way would make me feel better and
maybe make people smile.

Oh how I'm lucky to be here to talk about it for a while.

Rich in spirit, rich in hope, finally that is me,
All this time, I was sitting on a goldmine, unbeknownst to me
