Just One More

Just one more minute
One more day
All so I could
get in your way

All you want is that
One last swig
One more puff
Just so you'd feel
"Normal" enough

I know that you don't
care what I say
But am I supposed
to leave you this way?
Take that one last swig
I'll walk away
Poison yourself,
All I can do is pray.

About Me

Courageous heart and
Endless dreams
I believe in things unseen.
Life may cause my tears to fall but
Love is the arms in which I'll fall
I may not be the perfect girl,
Even so, I'll brave this world.

Someone who can always find
Interesting things to make you smile
Minority in girls these days.
Kind of girl who knows her way
I am proud of who I am. I
Show my colors, proudly so.
Strength is found inside my soul.

Would You Come After Me?

Lately, I've been looking in the mirror
And trying to see you beyond my eyes.
I may be a fool, but I am not blind.
As much as I wish it, you aren't there.

I've spoken hidden words,
Hoping you would understand,
But you haven't been there for me.
I have to wonder who or what
I am to you.
And I have to wonder how I can bear
Belonging to someone who just doesn't care.
I have to wonder....

If I ran, would you come after me?
If I stopped, what would you say?
If I just closed my eyes
And let myself fall,
Would you catch me?

Or would you walk back down that hall?

Block me out?

Pretend I never called?

If I was in danger,
would you fight for me?
If I was hurt,
would you avenge me?
If I was sick,
would you hold my hand
and pray for me to be well?
If I died, Daddy,
would you care at all?

So if I run now,
And you don't want me to go,
Then come after me fast.
I may keep looking back,
But if you're not coming,
Daddy, I ain't ever turning back.

If I ran, would you come after me?
If I stopped, what would you say?
If I just closed my eyes
and let myself fall,
would you catch me?

Or would you walk back down that hall?

Block me out?

Pretend I never called?

I need to know...
So,
here I go,
I need to know, Daddy.
Would you come after me?
