Why

Dear Lord please tell me why. Why do things happen the way that they do? Why do the skies turn from grey to blue? and why is it that seasons change and people do too?

You sent me on a journey. A hard, cold road of stone I traveled. Many times I smiled to hide the many miles of pain and tears inside. I held my head up high down that hard, cold road of stone, seeming so brave while inside feeling afraid and alone.

There were times when I felt as though I could not take another step, the road was so long, but you gave me the strength and pushed me on. Time after time I stumbled and fell, but that that never seemed to matter to you. You knew that I would reach my destiny and complete this journey.

Now I again I ask you. Why do things happen the way that they do? Why did you choose me for this journey and why do you give me these words I write? Is this your way of speaking to me, by making me see through my own words?

I crossed that finish line and I look back on it from time to time. For a while it was a mystery but then it came to me. That hard, cold road of stone, taught me wisdom I had never known. It taught me strength I could not measure, and all about trust and true treasure.

Yes, I'm proud I crossed that finish line, and about those questions I ask, well never mind.

Bee

I'm changing my name to bee. I'm busy as a bee. Cooking meals, paying the bills and then there's the groceries. Floors to sweep, floors to mop and the laundry too. So much to get done, always on the run. I'm busy as a bee.

I'm busy as a bee. Doctors appointments and physical therapy. Wash the car and fill up with gas. Taking out the trash. Watching the clock, no time to stop. Gotta move fast.

I'm busy as a bee. Takes my mind off of me. Life's too short to sit in self pity, so if I'm feeling down I guess I best get up and get busy.

Drive Safe

People in a hurry. Just can't wait
Leave earlier or just be late.
Passing on double yellow lines.
Running stop signs while texting
on the phone. That's just wrong.

Speeding down the highway
while cutting people off.
Horns blowing, temperatures
rise. I can't believe my eyes. All
these lives at risk everyday.

Take it easy. Obey the law.
Pull over and park to make
that call. It's not worth losing
a life or paying a fine. Be
thoughtful, careful and kind.

Drive Safe

If You Like

If you like holding hands, walks in the park, slow dancing in the dark then you'll like me
If you like dinner by candlelight, gazing at starry night then you'll like me.

If your down to earth and you love country then you'll like me.
If you like the mountains and the sea then you'll like me.

If you like sunshine on on a cloudy day, kissing in the rain passionately then you'll like me.
If you like comedy you'll like me. I'm funny

My name is Terri.

In Spite

Now Lord I know that I don't visit your house on Sunday, and yes sometimes I do complain about working on Monday. I know you've seen me drink a few, and I'm sure you've heard me say a cuss word or two, but there's one thing you know about me, a perfect person I don't pretend to be.

Although it doesn't always show, I do love and believe you. Thank you for the hard times you've gotten me through, for the lessons you taught me for the things I do. For two children so precious and sweet. Lord you know they don't always act right but Lord you know I lovem in spite.

Just like our children, we are all human. We don't always act just right, but dear Lord I just thank you for lovin us in spite.

Monday

I said good morning to everybody, to God and to me. Another day we are blessed to see.

Silence in the room. No good morning, just gloom. I go about my merry little way.

Silent prayers i said in my head. Words of encouragement i spread.

Singing songs of praise, in amidst of bad moods and attitudes. I remained the same.

I wondered why all this gloom on Monday. Its just the name of another day.

Friday arrived. I walked in to say hi. Everyone's friendly. Everyone's happy.

I wondered why is everyone so happy and friendly on Friday. It's just the name of another day.

Everyday we wakeup is another day. Another blessing. Everyday can be different or remain the same, don't let your joy be based on a name.

I

A Letter To God

Dear God this is about me. Resentments and bitterness. These feelings I have inside of me.
From these things please set me free.

I want to feel love and kindnesses and show respect. The kind of things that you expect.
Greedy and selfish I have been. Forgive me dear God for all my sin. For when this world
ends and the new world begins, I would like to return and live again.

I Had a Dream

I had a dream the other night. It felt so real and it felt so right. Every man, woman and child across the land, were standing together hand in hand. The earth was different. It was really nice. It seemed more like a paradise.

People were happy with smiles on their faces. Sadness, sickness and sorrow, there were no traces. There was no such things as rich or poor. People weren't judged by the the clothes they wore. A beautiful place filled with love and care. This beautiful place where people share.

Sunshine, birds, rainbows and butterflies. Popcorn clouds and blue skies. So much beauty for the eyes to see. No trash and no tragedies. What a wonderful place to be. Hearts filled with joy peace and serenity.

When I woke I felt happy for I knew that someday this dream I had will come true.
