To Be Loved

Secretive is she about her own name,
she knows never to play too close to the flame
for she has been burned before
by a word of ardor she has grown to abhor,
but no matter what of her she says of becomes
I swear to her she will deserve to always be loved

And she is loved, by one at least
whose words are better written on paper sheets
and written not with ink, but with his blood and heart,
on his own life, he knows she has left her mark
for her warmth is worth the weight of the Sun
and that is why he knows, to him, she will deserve to always be loved

The Love I Found

If my eyes could see
then what I can see now,
Maybe I could rest more easily, baby
knowing about the love that I've found

There is a light in your eyes that keeps shining
a light that blinds me away,
Like the Sun with such perfect timing
your eyes brighten my day

And when you disappear into the night sky
and the moon rises on out,
I know I can dream peacefully, baby
knowing about the love that I've found

And when I'm standing in the rain and I shiver
I can still feel your warmth,
With your eyes there comes a shimmer
the cold burns me no more

And though those eyes they may tear sometimes
I can't bear to see you blue,
I'd take them out and give you mine, baby
I only have eyes for you

And when I see you down on the corner
I have all the conviction somehow,
Walking on closer towards
with your kiss I can keep living on now,
Knowing about the love that I've found,
knowing about the love that I've found —

Knowing about your love that I've found.
