Proud

We scream and  we shout yet you choose not to hear
The words from our mouths those that you fear

Your darling child holds a secret inside
One that you cannot ignore or hide

Falling from the pack failed to conform
Different from everyone else I'M outside the norm

But what is the norm but a copy of one
I choose to live life not afraid to be shone

I'm PROUD of who I am 
And PROUD of who I'll be
A PROUD member of the gay society

Your words do not hurt me 
But your ignorance does
Failing to grasp the world as it is
And not as it was

You can choose to not accept me
That is your choice
Who i m was made by GOD
And not by my choice
