Now That You'Re Not Here

When I lie covered in a blanket of insanity how am I to remain sane, when I see
everyone falling from the place they took who am I to blame?

When you loved your self, now you dont, when you did whats right, now you wont.

Take us to the place where everything was quite calm, that whenever you
needed to smile the world was in your palm.

When you needed to laugh it was at the turn of your head, and when you
needed to speak it was the words you said.

When you needed to cry it was only just a need now it seems though its more
likely now a deed.

One you expect when close your eyes of this day, Its the feeling inside that just
wont go away.

Can you escape the madness in your mind, or will it be there your comfort that
you find.

In the bed of sorrow you lay your pillow down, in an ocean of denial your soul
begins to drowned.

We have chosen the path that we take, the fact that youre not here made it easier
for us to make.

I guess if you were here we would all still have a home, a place within our
hearts that we could call our own.
.
Now that you are gone, our morals went with you, what is there in this life thats
left for us to do?

Beautifully Confused

A poem for my autistic nephew...

How was your day? Questions unasked.
Happy or sad? You're wearing a mask.

When your feelings are hurt, the words will not form.
Expressions blown away within a raging storm.

It churns and strengthens inside of your head.
Tossing and turning in an unkempt bed.

Seeking understanding, but it won't come from my words.
I got a boo boo today, and it really hurt!

Could I tell you in colors or hum you the tune?
When can I tell you Mommy? Soon?

I don't mean to get mad, I'm angered by my voice.
It won't come out! I have no choice!

Communication lost, I'll put on a smile.
Two words could I speak? Like swimming the Nile!

Your actions are your words, subtly shown.
Your mind stands still as this boy has grown.

Today I tripped and hurt my toe.
Something that you will never know.

I cried cause it hurt, but not so bad.
Failure to tell you makes me mad.

If there were colors for feelings, then, you would know.
No longer hindered, I continue to grow.

We'd have conversations of pink and grey.
For an understanding which I can't even pray.

Oh Mother Are You Okay

I'm suffocating without you, my life breather.
Forever missing you, your greatest griever.

You created my life by the blood in your veins.
The color of your eyes, on my heart, stains.

Sounds of your laughter echo like thunder.
I cannot awake you from this slumber.

Your smile is burnt into my memories.
The first day without you felt like centuries.

Your last words were to me, forever, l hang on.
Lingering halo a top this angel, my mom.

Did God give you your wings? I need you to fly home.
I need to know that you're okay, wherever you may roam.

Just give me a sign, let me know that you can see.
My daughters sleeping at night, the Mom I came to be.

Tell me in my dreams, whisper in my ears.
Each day without you, is like a thousand years.

Are you in a place where you're with your Mother?
Are you happy Mommy? Do you suffer?

I just miss you, forever I will.
A hole in my heart that no one could fill.

No Meaning Without You

========================

Suffocating in truth, truth that you're gone.
No warmth in a freeze, no dusk for my dawn.

No air for my lungs, no shade in the sun.
No meaning at all, a bullet....no gun.

Rapids, no current.... ships, no sea.
Motherless child that I came to be

You left your scent all over this house.
Keen to my senses, memories rouse.

This line that I walk is missing a leader.
Seeking my mother, how badly I need her.

Now ashes in an urn, the woman who sang me to sleep.
I'm screaming your name...on my knees...I weep..

Can you hear me?... Acknowledge my pain!
My voice trembles, I choke on your name.

I can't go on,...won't,..you're not by my side.
Hopeless is an ocean, I get lost in the tide.

I'm carried away. I'm pulled under.
Caught in the storm...Lightening..thunder.

It rolls, it crashes. churning with strength.
Your existence, I seek, at all lengths.

Like a blanket, your death covers my thoughts.
My heart is an apple, I grieve while it rots.

The art to my canvas, no beauty without you.
A song without music...A value, no virtue.

My Child You Are Beautiful

My child, my daughter, please open your eyes.
Cant you see that your beauty goes beyond your size.

To me you are perfect, ignore all the rest.
When they laugh at your flaws or the way you are dressed.

Our flaws separate us, we each have our own. Every stitch in you're body has been perfectly sewn.

Children are cruel, with the exception of you.
Behind their mean words there's a lot they've been through.

Let my eyes be your mirror, then you would see.
The stunning young lady that you became to be.

Your heart and your mind show your true colors.
You are rare in your beauty unlike all others.

I hear you cry at night, I feel your pain and more.
When your heart is aching I can feel it in my core.

When it storms inside your head, I can see the clouds go by.
If only God would let me I would gladly clear your sky.

I would lie down in your bed and take all of your pain.
I'd move the sun above your head and dry up all the rain.

She Misses You To

She sees your tears, she feels your pain. Bet you didn't know she probably feels
the same.
She hears the words that you say to her every now and then, she looks back at
that same memory and she can remember when.
At times she pretends to hold you to, she pretends to do all those things that you
used to do.
She holds her hand out in hope that you will to, if she could hold it one more
time, she would feel it true.
Shes right next to you when you smile for no reason, shes in your heart every
season.
She tickled you when you laughed the other day, she remembers all the sweet
things that you you used to say.
She still feels your fingers on her ears, she still feels all the laughter and all the
tears.
You will never forget her and she will never forget you, the way you miss her is
the way she misses you to.
