I Wish

I wish I had all the answers you seek to find
but I believe all truth will come over time
what is, will one day come to be
all the truth you need to see
to understand
our purpose, your purpose, a plan
I wish I could tell you what you want to hear
I wish I could take away the reason for your tears
I wish life was easy and not so hard
I wish we knew who we are
but I don't hold the answers and neither do you
we all must find for self what is real and true
this I wish for both me and you
that we can one day come together on what is true.

A Thousand Times

If I said a thousand times that I love you
it could not cover our life through
because I just love being with you
I wake each morning just to see your face
for by my side is your place
the beauty of our happiness is always there
as the intimacy of the love we share
If a thousand times I said I love you
I would still lose
because it would still not express all my love for you
No one can make me feel the way you do
I know between us our love is true
your touch
that I desire so much
your kiss
that I would miss
if it was not there
for us to share
in the night when I reach to embrace
you in every way I can taste
I want to feel you in every place
because in a thousand ways I want to love you
in a thousand ways I love you.

You and I

I often think about you and I
and all we once shared, before you said good-bye
before you gave up on what we had
before you made me and my life, bitter and sad
I sometime remember how you used to be
the man I saw, but no one else could see
how you treated me so cruel and cold
because I believed our love was so
from the affection, the care, and the love you would show
you and I
until you left me and said good-bye
I often ask, what kind of man are you
that could do the things you used to do
but yet present a love so real, so true.
I sometimes do not know where the tears start from
until I feel the many hurts, as the memories come
remembering what you were, all that you did to me
I thought I was over it , I thought I was free
but yet here I am
unable to get pass, or to plan
because everything was about you and I
until you left me and said good-bye
my heart still does not seem to know
that you have let me go
no longer you and I
even though you said it was over, and you said good-bye
all I know is you and I.

Why Oh Why

Riding along by the shore
thinking about my Father, my precious Lord
tears falling from my eyes
because of the sadness that makes me want to die
Why oh why did I look into his eyes
why oh why did he have to lie
The memories we shared
now so hard to bear
him and I together
no longer makes me feel better
because of all he has done to me
and I to he
Why oh why did I look into his eyes
Oh God, why oh why did he have to lie
I loved loving him so
now where do I go
I have nothing now
I throw in the towel
to all we once shared
because about me he no longer cares
Why oh why did I look into his eyes
why oh why did he have to lie
women after women did he have
and I stood for it though it made me sad
I loved him even when it was bad
I loved him because of all I thought we had
so why oh why did I look into his eyes
why oh why Lord, did he have to lie.

I Want

I want to scream, I want to holler, I want to yell
I want truth, understanding, reason to prevail
to bring clarity to my reality
I want to cry about all that I feel
wanting the sadness not to be so real
to all that hurts me still
I want to be strong and not faint
but I am human and not a saint
so I will stumble, I will make mistakes,
I will not always understand, I will not always know
how to make what I want or desire so
I want to be happy, I want my children close to me
I want another chance with my family
I want to try, I want to believe
that God, can and He will. supply all I need.
