You and I
I often think about you and I
and all we once shared, before you said good-bye
before you gave up on what we had
before you made me and my life, bitter and sad
I sometime remember how you used to be
the man I saw, but no one else could see
how you treated me so cruel and cold
because I believed our love was so
from the affection, the care, and the love you would show
you and I
until you left me and said good-bye
I often ask, what kind of man are you
that could do the things you used to do
but yet present a love so real, so true.
I sometimes do not know where the tears start from
until I feel the many hurts, as the memories come
remembering what you were, all that you did to me
I thought I was over it , I thought I was free
but yet here I am
unable to get pass, or to plan
because everything was about you and I
until you left me and said good-bye
my heart still does not seem to know
that you have let me go
no longer you and I
even though you said it was over, and you said good-bye
all I know is you and I.
