Wait Upon the Lord

To sit and wait upon the lord, is never easy to do;
For we tend to focus on, the things were going through.
Our heartaches and our trials, our attention are drawn to.
And tends to leave us empty inside, sad alone and blue.
To sit and wait upon the Lord, when your world is falling apart;
You tend to feel you have no hope, deep inside your heart;
Is never really easy, impossible it seems at best;
When your daily life it seems, is putting you through a test.
To sit and wait upon the lord, as your life is nearing the end;
Alone and sad are your feelings, longing for a friend.
Turn you heart unto the Lord ,in honest heart felt prayer;
Trust in the Father alone, all your burdens he will share.
To sit and wait upon the Lord, when his purpose you can not see;
Takes a special kind of faith, that only God can place in thee.
And one day when you cross, unto the other side;
Then the Lord will wipe the stains, from every tear you’ve cried.
Then you will see Christ face to face ,and happy you will be;
That you waited upon the Lord, and heavens where you will be.
Surrounded by your loved ones, who went ahead of thee;
Never again to be separated for time and eternity.
