My Name Is History

"My Name is History"

My name is History
I’m here to take you back in time
To a land called Israel.
I desire to teach you a spiritual truth about two men.
I sincerely hope God will burn it into your mind!
One was a young shepherd boy by the name of David
The other was an older man, his name was King Saul.
The things that happened between the two of them
I see it repeating itself in many Christians today.
Saul was a disobedient King who felt threatened by the lad,
He was very angry, jealous, and full of envy, wrath, and strife!
He was so blinded by sin that he tried many times to take David’s life.
But David was a very wise young man,
Against the Lord’s anointed he would never stretch forth his hand.
David humbled himself and kept trusting in God by faith.
He never tried to split the Kingdom himself
But on the Lord he would patiently wait.
Although he had done nothing against Saul
And Saul was the one who was in the wrong
David never took matters into his own hand,
He always turned and went the other way.
He did not try to convince others who was right or who was wrong.
He was wise enough to just leave it alone.
Now what David did not know was this
God was using Saul though Saul never knew he had a part
To make and keep David, the man after God’s own heart!
David was learning then what he would need when he was older
When his own Son, Absalon, a young man would rise up against him.
David could then look back on his past spiritual history
When he trusted in God to keep him from wavering and taking a fall:
David knew from his own personnel experience
That God was still in control of it all.
Listen to me Church, because my name is History
Without a doubt I know what I’m talking about.
There’s a spiritual lesson to learn from these two men even today
And it is this:
God uses other men like Saul’
To help crucify our fleshly outward Saul
And then cast it away.
Remember, my name is History so take heed to what I say!
God’s Word bears record of what I’ve said is the truth!
Let God make you the man or the woman after his own heart
By using the outward Saul
Who wars from against me and you to keep us in the Faith!
Selah, and Amen.

A Virtuous Wife

“A Virtuous Wife”

It takes a virtuous woman to make a man a man
The virtuous life of a Christian wife can greatly contribute
to the conversion of her wicked and ungodly lost husband.
By watching her life it will help to convince and convert him
into a godly and holy Christian man through faith in Christ!
Not having her by his side is like having arms without hands.
Like unto a Palace that has no glory
and like unto a book with only blank pages that tells no story.
She is more precious than diamonds and pearls on beautiful chains of gold.
Her spiritual beauty is admired by all who behold.
Being without her is like having an instrument with no strings.
Like unto a talented singer with a beautiful voice who never sings.
Even a godly man is not complete without a virtuous wife as his helpmeet
And this is why,
Because it takes a Princess to make a Prince
and a Queen to make a King!
The man who has a Christian and virtuous wife by his side
even if he is lost or saved should be thanking God every day.
Yes, the man who has a godly Christian and virtuous wife
truly has a treasure beyond measure.
Yes indeed, let her be praised for what she’s done.
Simply because there is nothing under God’s Heaven
other than our salvation that is worth more than a virtuous wife!
PS. With God as my witness I can testify
This poem is true of my own Godly Christian Wife.
She was and is still a virtuous woman and a godly mother,
Also a burning and shinning light that had a great influence
That helped leading to my salvation
and conversion to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes, I thank God for
“A Virtuous Wife”
Amen!

The Mind of a Christian Poet

"The Mind of a Christian Poet"
Let us look into the mind of a Christian poet
and tell me if you can, just who can know it?
Who can search out the depths of his mind?
His thoughts are continually seeking for words to find.
Who can look deep into his soul
and see the things which are hidden from you and me?
His thoughts ascend as high as the third paradise
and into the deepest of hell they can go.
His mind can never be at rest
because he's always searching
for the spiritual riches which are in God’s Treasury Chest!
His mind is always in meditation from Genesis to Revelation.
He sails the oceans of God’s wisdom
and launches far out into the deep,
Into the darkest of night and shines a spiritual light to see.
He's continually in deep meditation
searching for spiritual truths and trying to understand
their application and just what they mean.
Sometimes his sayings are so deep and strong
only the spiritual can see,
then at times it's simply milk for babies to feed.
Even at night when he's lying in bed
a multitude of verses and thoughts are flowing through his head.
Many times when he awakes from his sleep,
the words that ran through his mind are like a dream that flees.
Sometimes he may even seem strange to those around him,
even to his own children and especially to the wife of his youth.
Some say, he's so heavenly minded, he's of no earthly use.
Yes, his mind is fixed on heaven in search for spiritual truth.
Truly, truly, all of those around him he loves,
but his heart, mind, and his soul is set on things above!
When this life is over his pen can write no more.
He can then rest from all of his labors.
His soul and spirit will ascend to heaven’s shore
and kneel before God who gave it!
To give an account to the ONE who created it,
Then saved him and then gave him his talents
and caused him to crave it!
My Dearly Beloved:
I've written to you about the mind of a Christian Poet.
I've tried my best to give you a look at the inside of his mind.
Do not look on him with confusion and doubt,
and please do not even try to figure him out.
Always remember this one thing
Yes, let this be noted
The mind of a Christian Poet,
only God can know it.
Amen!

The Words of a Christian Poet

"The Words of a Christian Poet"

The words of a Christian poet
are first formed as thoughts of the mind
and then after careful meditation
transformed into words that rhyme.
Then spoken from the mouth with a voice very clear
to minister the grace of God to the hearer’s ear.
He must not waste his talents on carnal things,
but only use them for spiritual things.
Have you ever noticed how time
seems to have wings and flies?
Soon our life will be over
and we can think no more.
We will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ our Lord
to give an account to Him for the talents that He's given to us.
Were they used for His honor and glory
or were they buried and hid away?
I pray that our talents in the END will bring honor
and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.
He's that glorious and blessed Gospel Story!
Let us always give thanks for Christ’s death,
Burial and resurrection day
and let us always magnify
His amazing and saving grace!
Then when our time on earth is no more
and our spirit ascends to heaven’s shore
and when we're all there in Heaven
with the Elders, yes all twenty-four.
and when they cast their crowns at the Lord’s feet
and when on our knees we fall saying,
Thou are worthy, O Lamb of God!
Yes! Yes! Yes!
You were worth it all!
Amen!!
