Out of Shame

As age catches on us
Would we be found enjoying the swings
No, never out of shame

As age catches on us
Would we be found playing marbles or flying kites
No, never out of shame

As age catches on us
Would we be foun d jumping in the puddles
No , never out of shame

As age catches on us
Would we be found chasing girls or teasing them
No never out of shame

As age catches on us
Would we be found flirting away
No, never out of shame

As age catches on us
We go to temples and let life slip by
Yes , all do it there's no shame

As age catches on us
We would be found talking and praying for our end
Yes , all do it , there's no shame

As age catches on us
We stop going places, meeting people n having fun
Yez , its a done thing n there's no shame.

You Are the One

You are the one
Who fell for me
Took me out on dates
Treated me out
Drove me around
always Fondled my hair
Drew me close
remember you gave me the first kiss
Felt me passionately under the moonlight
Told me mine was the scent
You adored
Impressed me with your wits
You are the one
Who one day
Proposed me
Said you'll take care of me
Of all my needs
Never desert me
Never hurt me
You are the one
To have asked my parents
For my hand
The consent given
We came closer
we jumped off boards for fun
all Well enjoyed time
You are the one
Who married me
Wedding vows were undertaken
Vowed to be together
Through thick or thin
You are the one
To take me home
And were always by my side
Life went on smoothly
Then came our baby
You went to work
Brought home toys
Played ,loved and hugged
The baby always
now you are the one
Who wishes
To live separately
To desert me for another
Changed the course of our lives
I'm still in a maze
What prompted you
Variety or status change
Whatever so
We have now drifted away
You are the one
Who now will ,sit and regret.

Under the Umbrella

I want to go out in pouring rain
Take my umbrella for drops to run n drain

Hear a peacocock raise a hue and cry
Think the rain is nearby

Oh to to be drenched in rain
Me none can restrain

Pitter patter falll the drops
Outside the houses on the fields and the shops

I want to see people walking around run for shelter
Fearing it may be accompanied by haze pelter

See also fields soaked by the rain
Excess water running down the drain

Also find children out from school simply jump
Squeal and run around till into a teacher they bump

Find them soaked with rain enter their vehicals
Its tough time for those in spectacles

Will find them out ,soon as they reach home
Change clothes only again in rain to roam

When the sky gets clear and does stop
Out of their shelters the birds hop.

At the end of it all I'll look for a Rainbow
I'll be dejected for a while if it doesn't show.

Being With Beings

The king of the jungle is at ease
Greedily he sits beneath a tree
with great agility mouths the bee
thank heavens he didn't see me

A deer stealthily passes by
alertly he's looking for sumptuous leaves
a squirrel darts up a tree too high
after nibbling some nuts it simply leaves

suddenly I heard a chirping next to me
a group of sparrows just fluttered their wings
a peacock prancing and dancing I did see
Dancing merrily he felt he was a king

birds and beasts are happy as they are
why should we for joy look far?.

Haiku

Spirits for the dying spirit
Joyless, colourless and mirthless life drifts on
Spirits are the last resort.

Failure

I always scored well in exams
But fell ill in 10th grade
I was demoted by the mams
Out of shame I lived in shade

I felt ashamed sitting with juniors
There was lurking defeat n dejection
My buddies still were my seniors
All the time I cursed my luck and rejection

with once juniors ,I started working hard
I was rereading what I did sometimes back
Day n night I slogged for better report card
took extra classes, for in no subject I wanted to lack

Hope I will make it better this time
I'll not indulge in self pity ,failure is no crime.

Multitasking

Get up in the wee hours
 Take quick showers
 Run to the kitchen
 Chores I want to quicken
First of all make bed tea for all
Then give a wake up call
Now I rush to make nutrtive breakfast
For about fifteen miniutes it does last
Now left all to myself to finish the work
Which all but try to shirk
 I rest a while watch t.v or a magazine
Sometimes I look for new recipe for their heart to win
Kids come in first of all for lunch
They are famished want something to munch
Then at tea time I make new new snacks
Kids love them I can hear their smacks
Then for dinner that I make light
As after this all go to bed outright
 Now I'm exausted and spent
Somedays straight to bed we went
Usually we go to bed straight
 Each looks for their mate.

World Cruise

W with my friends I ventured on a cruise
o out with my bags early , fun I didn't want to loose
r ran to the ship, the trip was to amuse
l left the shore at the decided hour
d deprived soon was the fun, as wild storm turned it sour
c cutting the waves n storm ,ship went up n down in rage
r rough weather ,with muddy drafts restricted smooth voyage
u useless is the trip we thought but thanked fate when it retraced
I in cabins we savored sites which we cannot efface
s sites we enjoyed, we danced n dined such fun we can retrace
e excitement governed ,it showed on every face.

Humanity

Humble we must remain to the last breath
Underprivileged, through help must be given strength
Mercy towards the less able must be shown
Aim we must to uplift the known n unknown
Never must we shrug off the ill-fated
Illfeelings towards anyone must be checked n hated
Tender touch to young n old must we give
Yearn we must, to help the needy till we live.
