Friends Turn

All my life I've been running from the wrong people
Looking for some treatment but all I need is something simple
I've seen brother turn in brother until there is nothing left
Now I look inside the mirror and I all I see is honest theft

To be friendly I do what I can 
But I just keep waiting until I reach the promised land
Each day I get closer to the fathers presence
I seek forgiveness but all I get is questioned vengeance.
