Their Eyes

In life there is always someone watching your every move. Eyes trained on you much like a hawk when it sees its pray. You can't run or hide. There is no point. The eyes will see you wherever you go. You can never truly be out if there sight. Even in this maze. This horrible, mechanical maze. The eyes crawl up and down the walls straining to see your every move. They whir and click at your every breath. They twitch at your slightest movement. They wont let you escape. They wont let me escape. So many times I've found a possible exit and so many times the eyes flashed and the exit vanished. Like it never existed to begin with. The metallic walls just stood there looking perfectly uniform. Not a scratch or dust particle would even grace their surface.
I'd have to begin my search again. Wandering these corridors. Watching as the eyes moved back and forth to my ever slowing march. Id need to sleep soon but I knew the moment i did the eyes would take me to a different spot. They always did the moment my eyes closed. They make any sort of progress impossible, but i need to keep trying. I need to get out. I need to see them again. Well whoever they are. All four of their faces appear in my mind like always. Almost non-distinct except for their eyes. Jade,Sapphire,Ruby, and Citrine their eyes lit up like bright, beautiful gemstones. The ever growing feeling of longing spurs within me again. The feeling of wanting to be by their sides to bask within the beauty of their eyes. Those eyes i wouldn't mind watching me. They are human like. They are capable of showing love and hatred.
