The lights fade but my love stays
Waves flow as your beauty glows
When I stare into your eyes time slows
So I can enjoy the show
Reassuring the love will never go
Your smile must have been made by Vincent van Gogh
Cause it will never outgrow
It makes me warm inside from head to toe
You mean the world to me if you didn't already know
And I will never stop fighting for the gifts that you bestow

The sun's rays blast through my bedroom window
Filling the room with daily inspiration
To help me brave the new day that's ahead
Knowing obstacles that await are unknown
I will hold my head high and march onward
Making sure to learn all the day's life lessons
So I'll be a better man tomorrow
I'll learn how to be truly selfless and just
For God is the only one that can judge
A world occupied with shame and happiness
Being ripped apart from the outside
I pray I have the time to repent my sins
Before the day of wrecking has arrived
Provoked by our own mistreatment and hatred
For everyone and all things around us
I'm tired and getting older by the second
My life's days steadily fading away
God, please forgive my belated commitment
All my trust I forever give to you
Undeserving I beg for your endless love
I will take full ownership of my shame
In hopes, you'll embrace me with your love and warmth
When my end finally takes me away

The Headfire spreading wildly through my mind
Uncontrollably the words start to flow
As visions of ideas are designed
My creativity begins to grow
There are so many thoughts I can't escape
Some magical, a colorful garden
Or a lake surrounded by lush landscape
The images that won't let my heart harden
Others are quite darker and saddening
Like the love I have lost throughout my life
And my shameful sins which are maddening
It is filling my heart with so much strife
Whatever theme, my Headfire leads the way
Until the day I have nothing to say

There is hearsay of a brighter day
And if it does come my way
I hope it will stay
While the time whittles away
There is no game to play
Struggling with life's daily melee
All I can do is pray
I wont be lead astray
By the things that outweigh
Like the debt of sin I must repay
Only I can defray
With little time there can be no delay
Gods word I must obey
And his love I will never betray
For then he will take away all this dismay

I become lost looking into your eyes
Your lovely face designed to mesmerize
My devoted heart pumps strong and rapid
Not a moment we share will be vapid
By your side, I will stay forevermore
To admire your beauty which I adore
As if but a dream I fear to awake
Knowing losing you would be a mistake
With every kiss, life rejuvenated
A fiery passion exhilarated
Whenever apart I long for your touch
Happily, I'll always love you too much

As the days go by the emptiness inside grows
fighting invisible demons back into the shadows
I scream for help, shedding tears of sorrow
hoping I might overcome my burdens tomorrow
fearing as if nobody else really does care
all that's left to do is to say a prayer
to be free from all the pain and suffering
my sinful life in desperate need of restructuring
I must turn my faith and love to the Lord
maybe then my cries will no longer be ignored
receiving the help I so desperately need
mending my heart to no longer bleed
losing this winless fight I've waged within
just wishing for a new walk to begin
please God hold my hand and wend my way
knowing if you are by my side I can face a new day
learning how to live my life without loneliness
fortifying what at once was a cruel weakness
I'll overcome my trials and tribulations
while I may have to face complications
moving forward my soul I devote to you
reassuring there will never be another adieu
now that I've accepted God, one who truly cares
He will show me the answers to my prayers

God I pray that you may lift my anger
For it is has begun to overpower me
From words that have brought much pain
As I sit here unable to see straight
My hands tremble my heart racing
I turn to you my Lord make this go away
Unable to force these feelings back inside
Already my rage has calmed thanks to you
The power you have over me is so amazing
And I love you for everything you do for me
I'm grateful for the support you provide
Allowing me to conquer these demons
Until the next time we speak, I will keep my faith

A world filled with destruction and turmoil
War threatening blood spilled on home soil
Fires and sickness bringing life to a spoil
Can only wait for heartbreak to embroil
I pray to God, that in the end he will be my friend
Thru the pain and anger I'm just not able to comprehend
As i fear in the darkest moments I'll be left to fend
Hoping the Lord's warm embrace will wend my soul to mend
Even though my fate may be unknown
Calling Heaven home in the end, has been well known
For there I will never have to feel left alone

I pray the Lord will bring me home
My soul no longer innocent
Heaven is where I wish to roam
Surrounded by love so wholesome
God's warmth forever ambient
prevents from feeling unwelcome
