Love

My body is here mind is not
Going through the motions
Heart is tied all in knots
Soul has a scar can't be fixed with a lotion or potion

Days begin days end
What's in between
Light and dark no middle

Strong and weak are we
Striving to be someone
Happy and sad are we
Together passing time

Love me love me not
Build me break me
Freedom or control
Truth or dare
Do you care

Will you try will you cry
See fury see blood
Colour red colour black
Feel numb til you're back
Will you see light
Will you feel warm
Smile for you are loved

Heart Broken

I need a candle I need a flame

In pain and my body knows I’m to blame

How did this happen how do I explain

This torture so intense I need peace

Look to the flame burning with ease

Pray for a night I don’t have to appease
I wish upon a star I wish upon a star tonight, let me fly with you

Into the wind to fall with my wings out wide

I wish upon a star, together we will be free and far

I wish upon a star tonight, guide me to your palace of light

Forever I fear will you keep me safe

As I wish upon a star tonight
Bleeding from the heart we will part

If only I wasn’t branded with a scar

No magic no pill no breath will mend

The pain forever in my soul now I lay

Helplessly broken in a million pieces

Angel

It was an honour you chose me to be by your side and care for you
You grieve and words are lost for you can't bear to think
Though I did not know your wee jimmy
I knew the love you gave him
You were weak and and teary
You wanted nothing but to cry on my shoulder
as you sit alone in darkness
We sit in peace by his candle of light by your side
Tears freely flowing as we watch the flame gently flicker
I close my eyes as I am blessed in this moment
crying silently pray for his wings are strong and wide
He can rest in peace now he bares no pain, he knew you all loved him dearly
Now flying as as guardian angel over you giving you strength to carry on
He is with you each breath you take minute by minute hour by hour day by day
Cry for him share and smile happy memories
To survive this minute by minute
Remember you are loved and not alone.
Always with you each breath you take
I am here, don't be afraid
Minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, you will lift as I know how strong you really are.

Smile

Morning sun busting through the cracks of the window shade
My eyes adjust and look up to the old dusty cobwebs hanging from the ceiling
Two parallel with odd broken branches
as the room fills with new energy
I lay rested awhile
with a sense of elation
for this moment is sure to fade
It's a delight to enjoy such feeling
I capture it with a smile
