The Outcast

I saw you in the corner of the classroom
And so my love for you would bloom
With your long dark hair and eyes of blue
I saw how special you were but wondered if you knew
Headphones in ; nose in a book
What is your hook?

As the school year went on
My feelings grew strong

The other kids think you're a freak
A loner, a weirdo, a creep
They would probably say the same about me
If they knew I admired you secretly
"Nothing special," they say, nothing special they see
How is it you have this effect on me?

A whole school year spent lonelier as ever
Because I knew we could never be together

Many a time I tried to approach you;
Something that you never knew.
I never had the courage to go to your desolate corner
And everytime I turned away I left you even lonelier
A love so forbidden it tore me apart
You'll never know how you held my heart

You'll never know the control you had over me
You were like a drug I couldn't let be.
