Susie Lafferty Poem
FOUR SEASONS
Autumn colours providing happy and warm thoughts of the majestic beauty of creation and the forever colour changes of the autumn leaves that surround me.
I love it when the sunshines through the leaves making shadows and when the wind blows, making a loud rustling sound.
Leaves falling from the trees and blowing all around, unveiling the bear structure, making way for winter.
When spring comes after a frigid icy blast of winter cold,
the branches and twigs come alive again and with leaves on it makes a wonderful canopy.
The canopy brings shade during the long hot summer, it's when a garden looks at it's most glorious with flowers and trees that are growing up fast and producing stunning colours and fragrances.

Susie Lafferty Poem
JESUS WAS BORN IN A STABLE
In amongst the animals and the piles of straw which covered the stable floor,
A little boy lay,
Swaddled in cloth and placed in a manger,
You heard right Jesus was born in stable,
Because there was no room for Mary and Joseph in the inn,
The innkeeper said that they could bed down in his stable.
Mary and Joseph were so thankful for anywhere they could rest, Mary was weary and extremely pregnant.
They had walked hours and hours to Bethlehem.
That night Jesus was born, wrapped up in cloth and laid in manager amongst the animals in the stable. Jesus was their first born, this precious little boy was going to be a king. Mary was a mother, the only thing Mary and Joseph were not yet married, once Jesus was born, Joseph married Mary.

Susie Lafferty Poem
WINTER WAS THE ONLY SEASON WE COULD BE TOGETHER
Winter was the only season we could be together,
My best friend, my owner and me,
As when it turns to spring,
I turn back into a puddle,
I will be no more,
Not until the next year when my best friend re-creates me again,
I will be your snow man once again.

Susie Lafferty Poem
FORGIVING YOU!
I know my love it is time for me to forgive,
For it was not your fault that you had to leave,
It's your time to be with the lord, I know I will see you again,
I have been angry, sad and feeling alone,
You are always in my heart and mind,
Richard I want to forgive you say sorry for not having done it sooner,
I remember the last words you said which were "I love you ", and when we first time you and I met you said "you have beautiful eyes".
These words I will never forget as they are imprinted on my heart,
You are the gorgeous person I married,
My best friend, I love you so much and I always will,
You will never be forgotten and always remembered.

Susie Lafferty Poem
Soldiers going to war
Soldiers going to War, Marching in two by two,
We remember those who have fallen,
We remember their bravery,
We remember those left behind,
Their families with children who don't see them for months on end,
Those remembered in conflict who have lost their lives for us,
We remember those on the front line who each day risk their lives for us,
Their loved ones, who hope that their husbands or wives will return,
Children missing parents, desperately wanting to see them!
Families dreading the terrible news loved ones have been killed in action,
The knock at the door,
To be told this,
The devastation that their loved one, they will no longer see!

You are now with the Lord and free of pain,
You and Walter are back together,

Kind, fun, generous and warm.
May you now Rest in peace.

Susie Lafferty Poem
YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE
You are my sunshine,
My precious daughter in whom I love,
You are mine,
Rely on me and I will give you rest,
For you are fearfully and wonderfully made,
In my image,
You are not alone,
For you are mine,
You are like a diamond,
So precious, you shine,
You glow in my presence,
You are my daughter in whom I love and want to spend time with.

Susie Lafferty Poem
JESUS AND I
Sitting on the bed all alone and in pain,
I know that God is watching over me,
It's like I see him smiling over me,
Like a bright sunshine,
Who keeps on calling me back to him,
Again and again,
Please father I need more of you in my life,
I ask for your forgiveness that I drift,
I am depressed and I am in such pain,
Please Father I ask for your healing hands on my heart, soul and mind.
Only by your will Father!

Susie Lafferty Poem
I HAVE FEELINGS
I feel alone and shy In a big loud world,
I wish to feel included instead of isolated,
Not to be kicked like a newly blown up football when I am already down,
I have feelings, for I am a person with a lot to give,
I wish that people would give me that chance.

Susie Lafferty Poem
Treasures in the dark
We are like treasures in a dark and lonely place,
refracting his light,
For all to see,
Like in an open treasure chest we sparkle,
never wishing to go dim, made dirty with all my pain and sin.
Instead we are treasures of his wonderful design, individual,
like a fingerprint,
that can not be copied.
