Shattered Expectations

You become a mother from the first day you become  aware of your bundle of joy growing inside of your nurturing body. 9 months of dreaming and contemplating of his/her future. Future plans were in placed in your mothering heart. Your soul intertwines with your unborn baby. The very first second of his/her birth your heart and his are combined and become whole. Years pass by and life happens from nurturing your tiny baby to shielding your son/daughter from the fears of the world to your aspirations of his future being shattered into a million pieces. Your heart becomes fragile and his becomes a wounded one. You try to patch his wounded heart but only makes him drive further away from himself and you . As a mother your worst fears/heartache frustration become the world you live in. Tears of disappointment tears of fear tears of heartache is the reality of your broken dreams that you had put in place when he was growing inside of you. As you sit here and wonder what his future holds and how can you detach yourself from him. How can you allow him to fight his own demons without you protecting him. Your heart aches but Inside your heart you know you need to let him go. You need to let him fall and he needs to get up and deal with his fears, demons he needs to find himself not with your help but with his own mind body and soul.
