Finding Her Wings

She washes her face with her tears
Hiding behind a veil of fears
Upon her sleeve sits her heart
Making it easily torn apart
Swallowing a spoonful of regret
Leaving her desperate for whatever she can get
Sadly she wears a crown of shame
Filling her pockets full of blame
She washes away all these things
Only to find she has wings

Park Love

The sun's at my back the moon's at my feet
All the space in between is incomplete
The stars are in my eyes
The clouds in my head
Hearing what was said
The wind in my hair
Grass on my knees
Still waiting for me

Judgement

Well Wishes Warrant Wayward Smiles
Promised Peace Makes Things Worth While
Lips Sealed Refusing Desperate Deals
Guilty As Sin Innocent Within
All Hope Lost Before It Begins
Freedom Feels So Forigen

Papaw

The Morning We received The Call Oh How The Tears Did Fall
She Went To Sleep Your Beautiful Bride, Your Best Friend
Woke Your Widow
Oh How I Pray Her Heart Will Mend
What We'd Do For One More Day
Thinking Of All The Thing's We Would Say
Today's The Day They Lay You To Rest
Wishing For Days This Hurts Less
Moments And Memories May Be All We Have Left
And For That We Are Truly Blessed

Her Storm

Tears run down her face falling to the ground
From the sky lightening flashes with every piece of her that dies
The deafening crash of thunder covers the sounds of her cries

Haunted

Haunted by the ghost of memories past
Leaving the mind as fragile as glass
Rearranging every thought
Confused and left feeling distraught
Unable to let go and forget
Drowning in a sea of regret
Life slowly slips away
Day by day
Praying searching and hoping to find a way
To find a way to escape

Hungry Poison Lies

When you found me I was hungry
You knew exactly what I was hungry for
Feeding me just enough
Leaving me wanting more
Calming every craving
Not quite quenching every thirst
Tending to my every need
Always putting me first
All at once I tasted something bitter
Something wasn't right
I turned my head away
But you were there to force another bite
It was then I knew I had tasted this before
Something I despised
Choking on your poison
Swallowing all your lies

Warning Label

I'm the kind of girl who gets what she wants
You know that real go getter type
I can steal your soul and you'll never know
Acting so nonchalant
By the time you start to see
It's too late you're addicted to me
They say I'm a little off
Maybe unstable
They call me heartless
They call me crazy
They've called me everything but a lady
They say i should come with a warning label
Dirty Mind
The one you call for a good time
Chain smokin
Tequila drinkin
You'll never know what I'm thinkin
I'm the kinda girl your mama warned you about
They say I'm a little off
Maybe unstable
They call me heartless
They call me crazy
They've called me everything but a lady
They say i should come with my own warning label

What You See

As Distorted As It Seems
You May Never Know
If It's Real Or A Dream
As Confusion Conquers All
You're Left With Nothing To Hold On To
Before You Fall
As Reality Slips Away
You Can't Find The Missing Minutes
Turned To Days
As Soft Sounds Of Truth Begin To Fade
You Begin To Regret Sacrifice And
Prices Paid
As Failure Becomes Fact
You're Left With Nothing And
No Reason To Turn Back

These Memories Imprison Me

The memories once so clear
Begin to fade and
Are replaced with tears
Never wanting to forget
Holding on so tight
Never wanting to let go of it
Life flies by so fast
Making it impossible to
Hold on to the past
Letting go is so hard to grasp
Living underneath it all
Caught up in the trap
Set free from all these once
Cherished memories
As time ticks on
Leaving room
For all that stands in front of me
