Deck Time At Night

sitting on my deck at night
watching the stairs shine bright light
fathers day has come and gone
a great day indeed , however not long
being a dad can be hard
but seems very worth it while chilling in the yard
planes fly over head with a subtle roar
birds sit on the fence waiting to soar
I'm weary and tired , sitting in my chair
wondering what tomorrow will bear
sleep will soon come and I will rest at night
getting the energy for tomorrows daylight
