I'Ll Take You With Me

They can check my pockets and all of the luggage
They have the right to say take your shoes off
But no scanner can see what inside my heart is
No detector will catch I'm taking you with me

I will bring you to a foreign land 
across the ocean, thousands of miles away
Don't be afraid, let me hold your hand
You have to trust me, everything will be okay

I will keep you inside my heart
Any places, everywhere I'll go
I will hold your hand in my mind
And when the time comes I'll bring you back home

I wish I knew enough words
so I could write a real poem
but I hardly find the rhymes
and I use the wrong grammar

Please forgive me if it doesn't sound right
if getting to the point takes me a while

I walked after the rain
it was so calm and quiet
I did not mind, because I found a chance
to be alone with you in my mind.

You did not say much again
and I did not mind the silence
the sidewalk was long
but we walked to the very end

The birds were singing happy songs
and all of the trees wearing smiles
it was nice walking after the rain

You can be the heart and the soul of any party
but when you get tired of it, come to find your real yourself

You can date, have affairs, even get married
I could never be an equal partner of yours

The best dad always giving you the freedom
to have a choice and be your real self
The best dad always waiting from a distance
making sure he is there, if you make mistake

He gently holds your hand, but he lets you lead
He follows every single step, but at your pace and speed

It was wrong from the very beginning 
You had a girlfriend, I was married

It was wrong, but so powerful attraction

She was a picture perfect lady
She really had it all
From the look that drives you crazy

She lived in a luxury house
and had an expensive car on her driveway

and no one would call her desperate

Little they knew about her soul
that she was desperate to be loved
not for the perfect which everyone saw
but for who she really was

The perfect lady hid a lot behind a pretty smile
The perfect lady had an empty heart
She couldn't love her perfect husband or perfect house
