Laura Warthen-Swafford Poem
I look far away
In the blue sky.
Longing for answers
From days gone bye.
A calloused heart
From harm's untold.
Not wanting to be
So mean, So cold.
A woman I've become
Hardin by time.
Simplier were the day's
When less was on my mind.
I remember the me
I use to be.
When the sun would shine
And smiles were free.
How do I rid
This cloud over my heard?
How do I change
This life I dread?
There are no answers
Too all the Whys.
So I look far away
In the blue sky.

Laura Warthen-Swafford Poem
The wind softly whispers,
Summers sweet end.
Crisp and clear,
Fall air descends.
A blanket of color,
Covers the way.
Harvest season again,
Shorter are the days.
Life goes so quickly,
It's out of our grasp.
Celebration of time,
A tear for the past.
Sun setting low,
We can no longer pretend.
Distance echoes of fall,
Soon winter will begin.

Laura Warthen-Swafford Poem
Cold and dark,
As night draws close.
Hopelessly trapped,
With no where to go.
End drawing near,
Time running out.
Head hung low,
Heart filled with doubt.
Heaven awaits
For your wholly soul.
People on earth,
Don't want you to go.
Confused, scared,
Waiting for the day.
When god comes
To take you away.
It's too happen soon,
So you've been told.
Prepare yourself
For your time to go.
You can't change things
That are in the past.
Face them now,
Your'e time come at last.
