Now we've all been through the struggle
At times we were told that we weren't good enough
But I won't let that defeat my purpose
Cause I was told to keep my head up
Told to keep my head up
It wasn't too long ago when my head was just hanging low
Felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders
Now I'm crashing with a hangover
From the pain and everything its got me passed out
But I promise form this moment to never give up now
I promise I will do better
Cause I can make it through the weather
Hail, rain, wind, storms and fire
I can make it if I never give up

Sad how you try to help somebody they turn fake
Talking to you then looking past you the next day
But that don't really matter though
I refuse to let them stand in front of me
Like I refuse to let me get in the way of me
People are the cruelest things
The words they say, their actions, what they do to you
It's sad to say I belong in this group
Because I'm human that's why, but I don't want to be like them
Everyday it's a struggle
It complicates my life
But this bird right here is going to fly
Blinded by the tears, camouflaged by the smile
She's gonna leave and she won't be back for a while

All I ask is for a second chance
I really blew it screwed up with my plans
But I'm a rose these thorns protect me from harm
I'll shed 'em off if your just hold me in your arms
Roses, roses, petals
I don't wanna let go don't wanna shed 'em
Cause my petals are beauty
They don't define me but are still a part of me
Let me grow and give me time to flourish
Cause as a rose I just wanna represent love for us
