Soul Mates

A bright warm kiss upon the cheek of night .
Always and Forever -holding each other tight.

They are a perfect picture of what most aspire to be.
Never casting doubt on love and loyalty.

They will face the trials of tomorrow when this day is done.
Facing this world side by side......

Just like the moon and sun !

The Truth

The Truth is not given all the credit it is worth.
The Truth can destroy you, it could kill you, and it will hurt.

Causing pain thats unbareable, but yet we carry on.
Never realizing that such a pain could ever last this long.

Do you realize the damage its caused and the scares that it's left behind.
A broken heart may heal, but scars merely fade with time.

Scares of our mistakes, bad choices, and broken ties.
The Truth its not easily seen, when those you've trusted are behind the lies.

Often The Truth is demanded, but rarely is it received.
And you can handle The Truth, or so you've lead yourself to believe.

The Truth is that "The Truth" is nearly impossible to find.
Well isn't that my luck, I found The Truth but lost my mind.

And now here I am broken, bitter, hurt, and sad.
Why couldn't I have been happy with The Truth I thought I had.

I thought I had a family, of those I loved and whom loved me.
Well look at what a fool The Truth has made me out to be.

Maybe Tomorrow

I'm hopeful that maybe tomorrow will be better than today.
I just know that maybe tomorrow you'll see the error of your way.

Maybe Tomorrow you'll say all the things that Ive so long to hear.
Finally there will be a smile in place of shedded tears.

We will wake up bright and early and start our lives a new.
This time unconditional love with have the condition of just me and you.

At last we will forgive and forget our mistakes of yesterday.
Maybe Tomorrow would have been perfect, if it wouldmt have become today.

Priority's

You sit there in your sorrow,
Regretting choices of yesterday.
Wishing you could go back somehow,
Day dreaming of a way.

I wish I could open your eyes to see,
All the things you couldn't before.
Like a family that was right in front of you,
But you looked past them, searching for more.

Most of the things at the time you so desperately seemed to need.
All of which are lost in the past and selfish petty greed.

Those years of ripping and running will take a toll, yes its true.
And getting old happens to the beat of them.
Just wasn't supposed to happen to you.

So close your eyes and tell me who"s face is the first you see?
I bet its Benjamin Franklin instead of your family.

Life is way to short and time keeps marching on.
Priority's will determine your path, just make sure your not walking alone .
