Mirror

I look at you and see disgust
A sinful shame of all mankind
Red as a beet
I try to change
I can’t even do anything right
I try to change
 I really do
But you reflect a different view
Mirror on the wall
 Where’s my clue?
You look back and say
 Here’s a glue
 I get it now
Won’t take the Mask
Mirror Man, Here’s to you

A Stranger- a Friend

I can't remember the first time we met
But It always didn't really matter
A friend like you that's all I knew

We meet people and we think
This will last forever
Let alone a person I never seen before
A stranger I met through the phone
A friend's friend
But how could I trust you?

I can't remember the first time we met
But It always didn't really matter
A friend like you that's all I had

We meet people and we see
Hey, my perception of you wasn't all bad
You're really nice under all those covers
A stranger begins to look so familiar
Where had you been?
That's when a stranger became a friend

I can't remember the first time we met
But It always didn't really matter
A friend like you that's all I wanted

We meet people
And we just know
We meant to cross paths
A stranger to befriend
And I'm happy to call you that
A friend

I can't remember the first time we met
But It always didn't really matter
A friend like you that's all I needed

The King

In the wilderness
A lion cub knows it when
It is the new king

The Bucket Full of Water

A wise man once said,
A bucket full of water goes a long way
You need it and yet it is the exact burden of its weight
that will drag you down
So tell me, how do you carry that amount of water
 without that bucket?
Leaving it behind will kill you either way
But the bucket full of water will last you longer
Water is essential after all
For a days journey or two
The bucket full of water goes a long way

Something's Gotta Give

These illusions at its best
Something's gotta give

Do You Mean It

Walking down the street
You held my hand
Little trembling me
So afraid of the world

I remember when it was cold
Like a negative 32 degrees or so
That day we had to
 vacate the premises

You gave me your coat
And said you were warm
What do I know?
I'm just six years old
And you were supernatural

I hurried you to the corner
Its my first write Papa
Please be honest
And that's when he glanced at the wall

The writings on the wall
The shadows behind that stared
But you said it was Okay
Do you mean it?

Do you mean it
That's what it was titled
And it attracted a bit of a crowd
But I was just a kid
Out of paper to write

I did my research though
It's a free country and this wall was
Obviously abandoned
So why not?

From the look on your face
Its either you were lost in thought
Or deeply trying to recover
From what?
I do not know
But I hope this helps

The words you speak
All the things you say
Do you mean them?
Tell me lest I refrain

I get scared too you know
Now and then I try not to cry
Yet now and then it's all I seem to do
So when you tell me to hold on
Do you mean it?

 You tell me to cope
And you say don't lose hope
But papa, who are you kidding?
We both know things weren't good
You do your best every single day
You lie too just so it stays that way
But I get you
This here is my gratitude

That very winter you gave me your coat
I died a little
So I run out and got me an empty bottle
A kind fella gave me something to write with
But I just couldn't
So I threw the bottle out at sea
And stood on a huge rock
And shouted at the top of my lungs

Not today Lord
I pray you so
Kind hearts don't end like this
Let it be known that you are mighty

Then and there an Angel came
Told me to go back
And when I got there
I found a check, you taught me better
I had to return it

So I spent most days waiting for the bank to open
And when they did
I made a new friend
He took care of me like you did Papa
'Cause that day I couldn't speak
My only words were lost and found
And that's when it hit me

Did you mean it Papa?
I come here everyday because of that
That one question in my mind
Even though I know you did
Its the only thing that makes me feel close

Did you mean it Papa?
When you said you would live forever
Because today I'm standing here
With you by my side
And that winter memory of when you died

What Flourish Means

Its a Paradise
Looking Inward the present
Blooming together

It's your daring love
Holding my hand till the end
Blooming together

It's your "never let go"
A friendship so attached
Blooming together

Money, Money, twice
As we unfold the grand truth
Blooming together

It's a big white tree
Rooted in a thousand years
Old aged, beautiful

It's a green pasture
A modish type colony
Blooming together

It's a Paradise
A well kept individual
Blooming and distinct

Love Part 6- Lucky

First love at first sight
A rose's thorn dissembles
Guess I'm just lucky

Surface Underneath

Underneath the surface
Thus, T'is what I've seen
As a kid I used to think skies were always blue
A child I was, so my favorite color was no doubt no clue
White was too but blue seemed cool
O how the oceans would adorn the waves
And the waves adorn the shore
I saw everything at its peak
Just like the rise of the waves
until I saw the surface underneath

Truth you once told
till my drowning experience showed me so
Inhuman you seem but human you are
That is till I saw the surface underneath

Blue seemed gloomy
Yet I held on with gracious hope
For in desperate times
I listened to the Blues
3,4,5 that's how I counted on as years passed
I always went back to the ocean shore
At least to rekindle back my memory
My blue skies
The sad times
The last time I knew you
Thus until I saw the surface underneath

Truth you once told
till my drowning experience showed me so
Inhuman you seem but human you are
It was then I saw the surface underneath

Happy,happy, happy
Repeatedly I tell my self
I close my eyes wishing on a dying star
In hopes you hear me
I always come back here you know
back to the ocean shore
The very last I knew you
Or should i say......
The first time I knew you
On and On I tried to see
at least once
Just to be in your shoes

Truth you once told
till my drowning experience showed me so
Inhuman you seem but human you are
Now I see the surface underneath

Just smile you say
I try, I TRY
You shouldn't have
You saved me
I remember who I am
What I came here for
And why I'm not giving up
They say hard work pays
I say earn my way through

Truth you once told
till my drowning experience showed me so
Inhuman you seem but human you are
Now I see the surface underneath

I almost drowned
You saved me and now I'm saving you
Remember who you are and what you came here for
Why you're here and why giving up isn't a choice
You give up on me now and my existence will be but an Archive
See you now for who you are
For I am me
Distinguished Fates do not apply
You know your limits
but you'll never know the climax if you give up

Truth you once told
But now i'm telling you
Be crazy enough to say it
Be brave enough for the consequence
Blue is portrayed as sad
but it has more than one meaning
Be More.....
Here's to you
For I see the surface underneath
