Lover Named Night

She stumbles over wish-less objections,
     frozen times, out of rotation
silent quotations of words never said.

Rightful wrongdoings/cotton candy-flavored lies
 hide beneath black hazed shadows.

Still stanzas whisper secret
   hopes/misgivings/dreams/realities
bleed crescent scars of crimson tears like stars

      dripping from eternity.

Tired of sneaking with a lover named Night,
she wants to relish in the day.
cause stars can only comfort so much.

Wrapped in obsidian rainbows,
longing for rays of better days,
shadows keep her hostage
with promises of peace.

Amethyst dreams of warmth
break through fog filled cries of insolated

Isolation.

Youthful yellowed-out praises slip past lips
as acknowledgement for orange sols

   The moon envies the sun

Evermore's and forevers
whisked in arms of green colored awakenings.

But as blind eyes & deaf ears become her audience,
she figures brown ink monotone monologues
are better than screeched "notice me"s.

So she takes breath,
inhaling cast away promises like lifelines.
Ex-
      Hailing the hope inside -
she hides from- herself.

   Breathing.
Spitting out copy and
pasted on cliched

hoping
To be meaningful, following gilded guidelines.
Becomes ornate ornaments,
    adorning dark blue backdrops
a reflection of the light she lost.

I wonder if she'll realize there's worship?

That her (inner) beauty shines so bright
she'd blind with her own light,
So it's hidden just out of reach.

Her silence
inspires tides to whirl in windsongs,

Call her moonchild
Dancing in the shallows of a river
Lovely moonchild

Dreaming in the shadow
of the willow.
