Maybe

Maybe I'm not good enough,
to write a book or build a puzzle.
Maybe I'm not pretty enough,
to be loved more than my friend.
Maybe I don't have the confidence,
to the person I want to be.
Maybe I don't have the money,
to buy the most expensive clothes.
Maybe I'm not cool enough,
to actually get someone to love.
Maybe I don't have the self-esteem,
to feel like I can do anything.
Maybe I'm not perfect enough,
to go out in public with.
Maybe I can't beautify myself enough,
to actually make you recognize me for me.
Maybe I'm too girly for you,
to make you ask me out.
But just maybe I'm not thinking straight,
to hear you say I love you!

What If Life

What if life was easier?
So we could run and play.
What if life was harder?
So we worked more.
What if life was funnier?
So we could laugh and sing.
What if life was quiet?
So we could snuggle with a good book.
 What if life was scary?
So we cried for hours.
What if life had no end?
So we could live forever.
What if life just ended right now?
So we could go to heaven.
What if life had no life?
So we wouldn't have life.
What if life was great?
So we could live knowing life is good!
