The First Love I Lost

You where the first love i lost
So it was you who taught me how to be strong
You where the first that left without goodbyes
So it was you that taught me to not waste any time
You where the first one that left such pain
so it was you who taught me of how much i can love
I never looked up to the sky so much
till the day you left our side
You was the one that taught me how to pray
every night i would tell you about my day
You was the one that taught me nothing stays the same
I was only 12 so it was you that taught me what growing up was all about
You taught me of how short life can be
So because of you i treasure everything that means so much to me
And its you who taught me that when i have to let go
I don't have to lose though i cant live without
because there has always been apart of you with me
And when i think back to those days
i owe so much to you
because giving me the best of you is what saw me though

A Years Gone Bye

waking up to the sun light on my face
then feeling the wormth replace the cold night from before
opening my eyes to shadows that crowd my floor
my tired eyes follow a shadow across my bedroom floor
to a picture that makes me think of the year before
so many emotions come together, so many memories ill treaser forever
i gaze at the picture for a moment or two
its amazing how a quote can capture you,
theres so many different points of view
live every moment, love everyday, cherish every memory are what those words say
i close my eyes and think of the year that's just gone bye
the time ticks away so fast , perfect moments dont not last
starting to feel the pain of when i first found out my great grandad had past
i wish i told him i loved him everyday
regret starts to get in the way.
But i do live every moment cherishing every memory we made.
I open my eyes again, repeat those words in my head live, love, cherish
i also gave birth to my second girl in this past year
my little family blessed again, i look back up at those words
and now i feel something different
she helps me live every moment, because of her and her sister i love every day
and as im watching my girls grow up so fast i cherish every memory they bring my way!
so i take one last look at that quote and i take note of the mixed emotions it brings
it make me feel happy and sad, like i've missed out and that im glad.
the overall outcome....
it always points back to those that i love!

Fairy Tails

People say that fairy tales are deceiving
But I think there something to believe in
Look deep into the message that’s being told
Watch the magic as it unfold
Everybody needs to feel love
Set your heart free like are inspiring dove
No your nose doesn’t grow when you tell lies
But the message is to be wise
There are always consequences to your actions
Believe in yourself and don’t let karma mess up everything else
A perfect princess by day and an ogre by night
No this curse isn’t right
But it’s clear for us to see that love is further than skin deep
And looks aren’t everything
Don’t be shallow to what you see
Who I am is inside of me
No that perfect guy isn’t going to find you with a glass slipper
But like her evil sisters people try to get in the way
And I believe this message is meant to say
Don’t let people get you down
Your time will soon come round
We may not be able to stay young
And always have such fun
We may not believe in mystical things like fairies
But we all have an inner child
And a land that is our own
A place we like to go to get away
When we’re having that kind of day
And everybody believes in something
Don’t you think?
No we don’t have magic
And at times are life is quite tragic
But as a child fairy tales were beautiful
We adored them all
So why as we grow
Do we let go
What’s wrong with the things we use to know?
The films haven’t changed
And I still reamber the things I use to see
There happy memories for me
But now I see messages I couldn’t before
And I’ve learnt about life a little more
Fairy tales let you believe the message you want to see
So even as an adult they have grown with me
