Newbury, Berkshire

Berkshire is a landscape
Of beauty and perfection
Unless you live in Newbury
You'll cling to this perception
Even though this town
Seems quaint unto a stranger
He is yet to analyse
 the average locals behaviour
A rich man races horses
Then drives back to his village
A newburian's quite different
He'll sniff, he'll lie, he'll pillage
The highstreet displays character
Cafés, shops, all humble
Yet despite the architecture
Walk 10 minutes, you'll take a tumble
Because instead of affluence
And you'd hardly be surprised
There Are inbreds and their friends
On meow and bicycles, looking for a fight
Or boasting of their business
How on a bench they reproduced
Paired their genes in a manner vile
Another generation of no use
The girl speaks in tones so shril
The boy brags of being arrested
She didn't take her pill
And he got his genitals tested

Their parents are no different
It's why their youngens are this way
They yell from withered snouts
Melodramatically dismayed
But if you heard the content
Of their hostile cries
Why, you'd understand
There's nothing in their lives

And it's all because Newbury is really a shithole, you either leave here or rot here

A Tale of Suffering At Sea

Lost in the ocean with you by my side
For our survival we solely relied
On each other's wills and in you I confide
Until one stormy night you were swept with the tide

I cried as the thunder crashed up in the clouds
Floating alone, I swore to make you proud
Instinctual survival with which I'm endowed
Though hurt to the core for I thought you had drowned

I drifted and floated, I saw planes and ships
I yelled and I waved, this surely was it
I thought they would save me but none of them did
Left to drift on for what felt like years

I slept on some driftwood, awaking unharmed
To my amazement the water was calm
The sun, it shone down and it raised the alarm
For on the horizon a beach littered with palms

As I drew closer, malnourished and dazed
Flashback to the moment you were lost to the waves
I heard cries from the island but I was unfazed
Because you were lost, I cared not to be saved

A man swam out to fetch me, he pulled me to shore
His friends clothed me and fed me in a hut with no door
I glanced to the corner, don't believe what I saw
An old television with a face I'd seen before

I ran to the beach, I screamed to the sky
Ecstatic, euphoric, I welled up inside
The torment I'd been through was left far behind
For I knew in that moment that you were alive!

Divine Instrument

The pressure drops and the clouds spin round
The angels make their music
The sunshine stops, rain hits the ground
Tesla knew they'd do it

The skies bring more than a downpour
Our emotions begin to alter
The grey mass blots out the light
And bring terror if you've faltered

Forbidden beliefs are cast to the sea
Invisible from the shoreline
The heavy weather knows us better
A stronger swimmers alright

Above I glance and at a chance
I see the angels playing
They look down, synchronise their sound
Their displeasure has me swaying

Their sound strikes fear as it meets my ears
Then they threaten with a staff
I question why I see with my eyes
And as they play they laugh

"Deafen yourself and keep your eyes down
Don't like the music? Well here's our rod!"
Then the playing stopped, their rod was dropped
For there was the angered God

I could not believe what I could see
He took the halos from their heads
He picked me up, put me on the beach
Then cast them to the depths

Signs of Future Times

Lean in just to hear you speak
Engage that mind of yours
Prophetic creatures closing speech
Departs through tiny doors

Backwards up in front
Forwards left behind
Can't just stop
Can't be done
The end has just begun

It's Like I'M a Moth

It's like I'm a moth
I might be lost
I keep moving in circles
And it's getting too hot
I crash into windows
I go where the wind blows
I might be lost
It's like I'm a moth

Impact

I saw an accident, it occurred in my peripheral
The sight of such an incident was really rather visceral
A car veered off the road, it rolled and then it went and hit a wall
There were five men inside and it unfortunately killed them all

Tidal Minds

You, of terror and decay
Leave me for a while
Then come back home to stay
Minds align
Better off today
But you leave me for a while
Then you come back home to stay

No Man's Nomad Girl

She's no man's nomad girl
There's many faces that she sees
And even though she likes to let go
She needs a place to be

She likes to inflict pain
When she takes herself away
Cause she's no man's nomad girl
And she never feels the same

I'll ask her when to see her next
She never really knows
Cause she's no man's nomad girl
And that's the way it goes

She was no man's nomad girl
When she came my way
And even though she found it hard
She finds comfort when she stays

She needs to feel secure
Though she don't know where to start
But listen girl, I am your man
And your home is in my heart
