Mist

A moment in time the crocus bloomed
was this display there yesterday
When did those tender leaves upon
a fog draped mountaintop appear
above the mist and energy of life
a swirl of vultures await
the perfect inertia of decay.

So Many Questions

Time stands still for nothing
whereas we all apprehend something,
questions surround these perceptions,
answers measure every assertion;
opinion defines your protest.

Are you liberal?...the hour is here.
Are you conservative?...the hour is near.

They say-one godless the other backward!

Why do you listen?
Is it time for coalition?

Cooperation with less bickering
or watch the glimmer of hope flickering.

Dance to the rhythm
create a middle
complete the mission
destroy this schism.

Oh but how we generalize
cry and howl with eyes that lie.
So many questions but so little time.

The Gate of Fate

Woven broad cloth loose threads of care
helping lost and hopeless hearts to share
a given dream of dawns powerful light
that wisdom needed to speak what is right
before the end of time marches to war
with chaos peaks of envy to enter a door
which righteous want more and more and more.

Heavy drops of rain descend from clouds so wet
refreshing pools of dust hidden behind the crest
flowing even around the church and state
following the crowds one by one at the gate
where voices murmur and cry with tear fulled eyes
a joy for humanity who enter here with certain pride.

Your Moving, You Are

Holding on, could you be good?-
be like me, it's for your own good.
Take the Sunday with the rest of the week
watching how each peer bends to weak.
Letting go, could you be bad?-
I know I am, just ask my dad.
I see the light shining around the truth
waiting not for any more proof.
Golden halo rots and burns in life
watching from the window the horrific strife.
Enter the race with a planned escape
waving a flag that's white with agape.
