The Night Mistress

Betray me?
This Mistress of darkness sees your worth!
Patronizing what can not be seen,
acting upon pathetic grounds.

She can see through your voice of pleasure,
witnessing the field of bitterness you hold in.

Betray yourself?
That is possible in her eyes.
She is just a side moment of ecstasy-
never to be the main current of bells.

Like a hole in a center surface,
she gathers her drops of rain and avoids the agony.

Betray herself?
It is she who sits on the ledge,
hoping to be the thought of the waken lay-
instead she's under the disrupting dark pools of her life.

Who You Are, America

Red, White, and Blue,
are the colors that represent you.
All your stripes and all your stars,
has made our freedom come this far.

We listen to your pledge,
as your flag flaps on the ledge:
"O'say can you see,"
and, "the land of the free."

In every American's Pride,
you will find a soldier inside.
There's nothin we won't do,
for you, we will always remain true.

From the Revolutionary War to the War in Iraq,
we'll fight for you and never look back.
No matter the reason, no matter the cause,
we will stand up for you until the last man falls.

Decieving Nature of Words

Words can be decieving,
Because they're more than letters:
It represents emotion.
One can write something,
feeling one thing,
someone else reads it,
they see something different-
feeling another emotion.

The misleading formula
words portray,
betrays the mind of the reader
leading one to think
whatever those words appear.
The ink that presents the word
to the paper the ink leaks through
shows the bleeding words of the heart.

Never see the same work
alike with another being.
Words can be decieving,
look beyond the writing.

Seeking the 'Truth'

Too many seek for the purpose in life,
questioning what conquers the world,
But it's impossible to know when all we hear are lies,
So flipping the pages of life ourselves helps the unfurled.

From the darkest night to the brightest day,
The sun and moon lurk for the light of truth,
All it seems to find is the faces of death on its way
to conquest all souls and leave loved ones to ruth.

But if our souls touch hand in hand,
the purpose of life wouldn't be in doubt,
but answered with whom we have band,
and enjoying what its all about.
