Spring, Oh So Close

Sunny today
but Oh what a chill

The wind inhales and exhales
the trees bend on the hill

Winnie the Poohs Blustery Day
just cannot compete

In like a lion and out like a lamb
I am so tired of paying for heat

I long for crocuses, tulips and green
it seems like ages since they have been seen

Falling

The dawn of true love
My heart feels comfort and peace
Falling leaves of red and gold

Blue Ridge Mountains

Sometimes I am in doubt
about why I am here

Here amongst these mountains
certainly not just anywhere

The path seemed to just effortlessly
want to open itself to me

The draw was powerfully magnetic
So I surrendered and let go
of the part that was hectic

Often now as I drive over a hill
and I look into a luscious green dale
my feelings of joy give me little chills

My eyes water and my breath is taken away
by the beauty I am surrounded by
every single day.

Stars

Morning stars so bright
A gift from so far away
That moment is gone

50 Shades of Green

Longer days are here
Robins have arrived with glee
Shades of green arise!

Carolina Wren

On top of the fence
A Crisp and Dewey morning
Smaller than her sound

Carousel

Fast, colors whirl by
In the springtime of our years
Now seems like a dream

Poetry

Baring of your soul
Dancing naked for the world
Deep tension is eased

Just a note of thanks to all who are encouraging my work and reading my poetry.
I so appreciate all of you. Poetry Soup has become a bright spot in my life. :)

May a butterfly land on your shoulder (a poem that has yet to be created)

Winter's Arrival

Pink Blush on the hill
Crisp and icy twenty one
Wood stove warms the bones
